Assessment: This review offers a unique approach to describing new trends in sports medicine. Incorporating orthopedic, medical, psychological, and medical-legal issues offers the reader a rather extensive and updated description of many common and rare occurrences seen in the field. This second edition reviews previous topics while incorporating new and useful information in a wide variety of areas. The selection of new contributors in many sections offers an alternative approach to common problems seen in sports medicine.
