Bhavani Brown
This book is sooo well written and gives an excellent account of Liz Holzemer's personal journey with a brain tumor. This book in my opinion, is an inspiration to everyone that has any life changing illness. She relates her tricky ordeal in a straightforward and truthful way exposing her emotional state and brings quite a lot of humor to her story. As a Meningioma survivor myself, I found this book to be the best handbook for a person with this type of brain tumor. There is just not enough awareness out there for this primary brain tumor. Liz handles this book with grace and determination to get on with her life.

She truly made her experience into something wonderful and positive. I would be giving away the plot, if I told you.

Truly, a great read for anyone who has been diagnosed with a Meningioma. This is a great month

Get off the computer now and buy this book. This is the first book that provides a first person view of a brain tumor journey. With great wit, candor and honesty Liz opended up about her own brain tumor journey. Liz is doing the hard work here. Not only educatiing the public but bringing the public in for a birds-eye view of the daily struggles of a brain tumor diagnosis. I wish I had this book prior to my own journey and recommend in to all that are expereincing life with a brain tumor.

I had surgery for a brain meningioma on August 24, 09. A girlfriend of mine sent me a link to Liz Holzemer's book review. I ordered the book, reading it non-stop until the end. I was truly amazed at the similiarities, including finding the tumor by happen-in-stance. Her life aliments mimicked mine. This is a must read for anyone who has had this surgery or the family of a loved one facing it. Even though I tried to tell family and friends my thoughts and feelings, no one knows until they are bei

Having just undergone my second brain surgery, I can attest to the fact that this book will prepare anyone who is going to undergo this type of surgery, and would be especially helpful to a family member who wants to understand what their loved one will be experiencing. Liz masterfully interweaves the unvarnished facts with humour, making it delightful read. I would loved to have had such a book to read prior to my surgeries!
