An English nobleman pretends to be a mere chauffuer to help a former servant not lose his contract with a wealthy American to drive his daughter and her chaperone on a tour of Britain. The faux chauffuer not surprisingly falls in love with the charming American girl. Add a dastardly Frenchman to the story and some lovely scenery and you have a delightful adventure of a time long past when social status was an obstacle to love.
