Cyrano, a witty, tempestuous, swordsman, is secretly in love with the beautiful Roxane but convinced she will never be able to love him because of his incredibly monumental nose. Therefore, he sets out to help his friend, the tongue-tied Christian, also in love with Roxane pen exquisite verse with which to woo her.

EDMOND ROSTAND (1868-1918) the renowned French playwright and poet, is best known for his classic works Cyrano de Bergerac, and Les Romanesques, adapted later to become the musical The Fantasticks.
