    Terrible format and content

I am living in the Czech Republic and trying to learn the language, but this dictionary does not help at all. You would be better off with another dictionary or phrase book. If you are traveling in the country, I would suggest buying one here, as there are very good quality ones available for a good price.

If you need to know a word in Czech you'd have better luck in a French dictionary

Potential customers: This was the first Czech dictionary I purchased. I was stunned by the lack of words--basic words that one could not find. I quickly bought a new one! I have not opened Trnka's insult to the Czech language since. My Czech class in college also fell into the trap of buying this dictionary in a set until one by one they all become frustrated and banished this small book into their dusty closets, buying a true comprehensive dictionary. It will take some effort to find a different dictionary, but I guarantee you it will be worth your effort.
