Great for People Who are Just Starting D&D

If you are just starting dungeons and dragons you should get this Monter Manual, the others are just extra, although they are helpful to more advanced players. This has monsters of all different levels of difficulty. With this book you have to get the Player's Handbook, and Dungeon Masters Guide, or else you still can't really play. D&D IS REALLY FUN, so i suggest getting these books now!

    Awesome for Starting Dungeon Masters

I would say this is a drastic improvement on the previous editions. Which is good because this game is essential for everything rad. Without games like D&D or Sonic the Hedgehog my life would probably be boring and lame. My favorite change is how that if you roll 19 two times in a row your sword will shoot fire and terminate any helicopters in your way.

    Finally!

I know people complain about how it seems that releasing a .5 edition is just a cheat, a way to get more money, but if you actually read this you'll see why it was done. The new method of relaying monster statistics makes it easier to adjust their level based on the type of encounter you want. It also allows players to actually play a monster character, so they aren't limited to the standard 8 races. Some people are complaining about how 3.0 is so new and they shouldn't release a new version so quickly. It's been eight years. More people are playing now than ever before. The entire reason for these books was because of the number of questions and ideas players across the world have submitted to Wizards of the Coast. The result, in my opinion, is spectacular.

How many times will they bleed us?

Edition 3.5? I thought they were joking, and I wish they were. D&D players have recently upgraded to edition 3, buying all new materials, after years of using the same core rule books. We accepted the changes since many were positive and effective. Now they release 3.5, when's the next release? Seems like I need to upgrade my D&D books more often than my PC. Just remember, the game is about fun. Have fun, and use the rules you want.

Good content, but what is new?

It seems that the moment someone buys v.3 core books, we get a .5 slapped onto it. They said that they polished it up, which i can barely see, and said they added some new things. It looks like the core v.3 book to me.
