With 30 years of homeschooling experience, I have determined that Record Keeping does not have to be complicated! There is no right or wrong way to keep records, but hopefully these simple forms will simplify your efforts.
The first form is a simple Study Plan to fill out at the beginning of the year or semester...Feel free to put as few or as many details in it as you would like. You will notice that it includes space to list Resources you plan to use - which can include much more than just textbooks.
There are spaces provided for tracking grades. This can be particularly useful for figuring grades for your high school students. You do not need to use every space provided.
Twelve monthly calendars are included; these are great for tracking attendance and for recording field trips, and other special, one-time events.
Lesson Plan Pages:
These pages include two pages for each week's plan, with each day scheduled out. This works well for students who like to have daily goals.
Credit Tracking Pages:
One hundred and twenty hours is often recognized as the minimum amount of time to spend on one topic to earn a high school credit. These simple credit tracking pages make it simple to track those hours.
Take lots of deep breaths and enjoy your home education journey!
