I looked at several summer skills books before choosing this one. Many were much more intensive, or divided into sections that would have caused me to assign 3-5 pages of work daily. This one is designed with mixed skills laid out by days of the week. The skill exercises themselves are sound, and the workload is acceptably light (about 2 pps per day). My child is involved in some great summer activities where she is learning in different ways, so I didn't want to make her feel "burned out" with a heavy worksheet load. This book fit the bill, and has helped my child just the way we hoped it would--keeping her skills fresh for when school starts again.
