I really liked the plot of this book. I enjoyed all the characters. This book was enjoyable, free and around 450 pages. It was a fasr read and book one of a series. The editing was poor. There was a LOT of curse words and very descriptive sex. At times the violence was rather gory. It took a while to figure out who and whydunit. It has an unresolved conclusion. Which according to the excerpt of the next book brings about the resolution. I was only going to rate this book as a three because of editing, cursing, very descriptive sex and the open conclusion, but even with all its faults, I still really enjoyed it. This book is a police, murder mystery, yet has a nice romance going on as well. I was worried it would be another dorky, Janet Evanovich type book, but it was not. For ages 18 and up. AD

Erotica was unneccesary and too much most descriptions unpleassnt and too much description of animal dung heaps etc the ending solution was contrived and while no doubt meant to be an o henry ending was neither classic orcozy a mish mash of too many themes interfering archived

Could not finish this. The 20's and 30's old time mob verbage was too much. The descriptive sex was not something I enjoy reading. I am an avid reader and VERY seldom can't finiah even a bad book. Maybe the story is good, but I don'f know because I could not get into it far enough to tell. Skip this one.

Would have gone 4 stars except the author needs to learn that spell ckeck is not a substitute for proper proofreading. Too many examples of misused words and poor grammar ( and I'm not talking about dialog where that could be appropriate
