Editorial Reviews

Dalitsouthasia.org
The book can prove to be resourceful hand-book and significant guide-book for purposes of diverse nature; including advocacy…. The book gives insightful readings on various policy directions which however yield the reiterations of the focus of the study more precisely. The floating discourse in the work, on historical and structural deprivations, engage on surface as bedrock of legitimizing particular identity for Dalit, in search for a common Destiny.

The book review
The volume is another significant contribution by Sukhadeo Thorat….This book is best addressed to those who drag their feet on the dalit causes, often using the supposed paucity of data as an excuse… The economic and social status of dalits is presented in a focused manner with information from various ministries and organizations of the government of India…the generous annexures provide easy access to a rich compendium of relevant documents and statistics.
