Overview

Before Chuck Daly arrived on the scene, the Detroit Pistons had struggled to find a place in the NBA. Beginning in 1983, Daly led the team to nine winning seasons, capped by back-to-back championship titles in 1989-90. In 1992, he was chosen to lead the original USA Dream Team in the Olympics. But this was just a fraction of Daly's amazing life.

Along the way, he became known for his "Chuckisms"-phrases you heard so often you could almost say them along with him. Each one defined a lesson he had learned along the way. In Daly Wisdom, NBA leader Pat Williams has collected the best of the "Chuckisms," along with stories from those who knew and loved Chuck Daly. We offer them to you in this book in bite-sized lessons you can read and grow by-dairy.

What a great legacy to leave to one of the great legacy coaches and human being. We would frequent his restaurant in West Bloomfield Michigan The Great Northwest, and Chuck was always there, meeting and greeting. He would always take the time to autograph his "Detroit Pistons Player card" or anything else with such humility. A truly wonderful person and we're so glad this book was written about him.
