Overview

Shana has never given her guardian, Uncle Daman, a bit of trouble… that is until she turns eighteen and decides she is an adult and can therefore do as she pleases. After getting caught drinking and transporting illegal alcohol, the council in Jackson Settlement lock Shana and her friends up. Uncle Daman comes to her rescue, but she soon discovers she hasn't escaped punishment entirely. He gives her a spanking - her first spanking ever. He also insists that turning eighteen doesn't change a thing. She is still his ward, and she will remain subject to his discipline as long as she lives under his roof.

Daman is shocked by Shana's sudden rebellious behavior, and he is determined to curb it by whatever means necessary. One spanking isn't enough, and his little niece soon finds herself back in his study, bent over his desk with her bottom bared for another lesson. Daman disciplines her with love, and as time passes, he realizes his feelings for her have changed drastically. White hot jealousy consumes him at the thought of another man taking her away, and now he is reluctant to set up a marriage match for her even though she has come of age. She is his niece by marriage, not by blood, and he wonders if she could ever see him as more than her strict uncle. Dare he hope?

A visit from a young man seeking Shana's hand in marriage puts fear in Shana’s heart. She doesn't want to leave Uncle Daman. Not ever. She loves him, though she worries he will forever see her as a child and as his ward. She attempts to seduce him, but her plan blows up in her face and only gets her into more trouble. Uncle Daman keeps growing stricter and stricter, but her love for him doesn't falter. She is determined to stay true to him, and she tries her best to obey him. But the temptation of visiting the nearby gypsy village for a night of wild dancing is hard to resist, and she sneaks off with her friends, certain he will never find out and her bottom will be safe.

When Daman discovers Shana missing from her bed in the early morning, he assumes she has been out all night with a man. He is heartbroken, furious, and can't help but feel betrayed. Misunderstandings, secrets, and frustrations threaten to drive them apart, and Daman still has to punish Shana for her disobedience. Neither of them are ready to confess their true feelings, but will a little honesty be enough to repair their changing relationship?

Shana acts like any eighteen year old under peer pressure would

Shana acts like any eighteen year old under peer pressure would act. She defies Daman at ever turn and lies to him about how she feels. Looking to fit in Shana leaves the settlement and is caught. She tries very hard to get her “Uncle” Daman to notice her little does she know he is fully aware of her presence.

Daman is struggling with Shana, she had turned eighteen and soon enough men will be coming to ask him for permission to marry her. After she gets caught sneaking out the first time, Daman spanks her hoping to shame and humiliation will be enough to teach her a lesson she won’t forget.

Daman’s Ward is a short story without sex, just pure spanking. I loved it because you can feel Shana’s mix of emotions and her struggle to convey to Daman how she truly feels. This is the prequel to Shana’s Guardian. I am excited to read the next story and see Daman and Shana’s relationship grow. I praise Sue Lyndon for being able to write a spanking story without any sex. It still excites you and makes you want to continue to read which is why I rate it five stars. This is my first story by Sue Lyndon and I cannot wait to read more from her.

This is strictly a "domestic discipline" story with no sex.
It involves a young woman Shana who is a niece by marriage to Daman, his late wife was sister to one of Shana's parents.  She has been his ward since she was 15 after her parents sudden death and has never given him any problems. She has just turned 18 and decides that she is an adult and pushes him to the point he must punish her and spanks her.  The next time she puts on a low cut dress and defies him and he makes her strip out of the dress and makes her wear clothing he picks out for her for one week.  There are several more infractions where he spanks her, each time more forceful trying to get her to be obedient. Overall, Daman is falling in love with Shana and she with him.  But never do either one reveal their true feelings.

This is the delightful story of a woman who has newly come of age. Her relationship with her guardian is shifting. The both struggle with emerging feelings that they are both reluctant to share and choose to keep hidden. There is a lot of delicious discipline in this short book. It left me anticipating more. Damon's Ward is a lovely prequel for Shana's Guardian. The story does go on.

Daman's ward is really a sweet little story about Shana and Daman and how their relationship starts. It shows how they are changing from ward and guardian to something more. There was spanking, but no sex. I finished the book wishing for more.

This was a sweet read. It was well written and it was easy to fall in with the characters and enjoy the story. There was a lot of sexual tension but no erotic scenes. But that is okay because I knew at some point there was promise of steamy love scenes; perhaps in the sequel?

    A Post Apocalyptic SHORT Tale.
I enjoyed it. It was a quick, light entertaining read.  This was a slice of life story spanning a short period of time in Shana and Daman's life.
A period in their lives where they are both realising they have feelings for each other but afraid to let each other know.
Their emotions and thoughts are well described and you feel the love they have for each other.

This is a sweet novella about, I believe, our society after some

This is a sweet novella about, I believe, our society after some kind of disaster or world war. Shana is Daman’s niece by marriage. He goes to another settlement to get her after her parents die. He has been her loving guardian for three years, since she was fifteen. When she turned 18, she and some other young people snuck out of the settlement to drink. They all got caught and were turned over to their parents. Daman was not very happy and decided that she needed to be spanked. It is very humiliating for her, but she accepts it and she is forgiven after it is over. There are more problems and more spankings as time goes on. What we are really reading about is the evolution of a relationship. Daman is coming to realize that he has feelings for Shana, but thinks that they aren’t appropriate. Shana knows she has feelings for Daman and she wants him to notice her. This is a very short novella. I really think that it could have been expanded more. From the title, we see that there will be more as this is Part 1. I wish that Part 2 had been included and made into one longer, more satisfying book. That’s why I only gave this story 4 stars.

This short story is entertaining but could’ve easily been combined with the second story to have a more rounded full story. However, as a standalone it gives the background of How Shana’s becomes a ward of Daman. She has now come of age and has begun to show a rebellious side for which Daman is prepared to lovingly handle with well deserved spankings. Shana and Daman both secretly has feelings for each and leads ready for part two.

This is a prequel to Shana's Guardian. The story is about Daman and his ward Shana. Shana's parents died when she was 15 which is when she came to life with Daman. She was never any trouble for him until she turned 18 and thought she could do what she wanted. He is struggling with his feelings for her just as she is afraid to admit hers to him or even herself. I have read and enjoyed Shana's Guardian. I don't understand the purpose of this prequel. It was too short to add much and didn't seem to give any information necessary to the story. But I did enjoy it.

I enjoyed this story. Daman is Shana’s uncle, her guardian since she was fifteen. The story is set in a different time, where they live in a strictly controlled clan, where disobeying the rules can have you banished. Shana has secret feelings for her uncle, and he for her, but neither wants to risk the other knowing the truth. Shana is recently eighteen and testing the rules, and Daman is not going to let that fly. He is quick to ensure that she understands that in his house she will never be too old for a spanking. This was a sweet story, and I loved the dynamic between the two as they danced around their feelings. The only problem for me was that it felt too short, and I really wanted to see more develop between the two of them. Hopefully we will see them in another book.

This is a short book about Shana, an eighteen year old young woman living in a Settlement with her guardian, her Uncle Daman. They are not related by blood but he took her in when her parent's died. She is a relatively good girl but succumbs to peer pressure and lands in jail. Her Uncle decides to nip her bad behavior in the bud and gives her a spanking. She is both mortified as well as realizes her feelings for him are far deeper than she can admit. Daman also loves her but also does not tell her. If you like simple spanking stories, you should enjoy this book. I wish it were longer and more developed. There were other characters whose lives could have been explored. I felt the book ended too abruptly with no closure.

Daman's Ward is a very enjoyable story. Daman has been raising Shana since her parents died.
Both Daman and Shana are struggling with feeling for each other. Shana does several things that
require punishment from Uncle Daman. Sue Lyndon has done a fabulous job with this story.
I can't wait to read the next book and find out what happens!

    Disappointed

I have enjoyed other books/stories by Sue Lyndon, but I was very disappointed in this book. Very little development of characters and their history or emotional relationship. Thei author also left their situation and relationship basically unresolved.
