Sh#@ Your Phone Says

"Damn You, Autocorrect!"

If you own an iPhone, BlackBerry, Droid, or any smartphone, there's a good chance you've screamed that phrase out at least once. In Damn You, Autocorrect!, pop-culture blogger Jillian Madison shows you are not alone.

Filled with submissions from readers of her popular website, this laugh-out-loud funny book features cringe-worthy exchanges with parents, friends, significant others, and co-workers that contain some of the most unintentionally hilarious--and mortifying--mistakes ever caused by Autocorrect. Inside, you'll find a husband who tells his wife that he just "laid" (paid) the babysitter, a dad who tells his daughter that he and her mom are going to "divorce" (Disney), and many more epic texting fails too raunchy to list here.

Whether you love technology, texting humor, or taking just a little bit of pleasure in the misfortune of others, Damn You, Autocorrect! will leave you laughing until you cry, and thankful that nothing this embarrassing has happened to you. Yet.

Meet the Author

Jillian Madison is the founder of Pophangover.com, a snarky pop culture blog network that launched in the summer of 1999. The site has been visited by tens of millions of people, and has grown into one of the Internet's premiere destinations for clever original humor and pop culture news. Pophangover content is constantly retweeted by celebrities and referenced by the Huffington Post, AOL's Pop Eater, CNN, and VH1's Best Week Ever. Sadly, Madison is also an Autocorrect victim herself (she once invited her friends over for a night of fellatio, rather than gelato). She lives in Orange, CT.

How am I supposed to know if it's good or not? Also, there's a ton of free ones online. Just google "funny autocorrect" or something like that.

WORST SAMPLE EVER

Worst sample ever. All it is is the Table of Contents

Pretty much everyone has seen some of these via an email or text. Having them in one place is nice. From what I could read, I was laughing so hard I was snorting! The down fall I found is the format for the nook. The text is way to small & cannot be enlarged. It makes it very difficult to enjoy when your straining to read it! I reccomend it, but it paper form.

I had read excerpts of this book on-line and laughed until I cried. However, those snipets were NOT included in the book. While the book was humorous, it wasn't as funny as I expected.

The sample is only pages 1-7 which covers the title page through the table of contents...no actual content.

Why is the Nook version a whole dollar more than a physical version of it? Fail, B&N! Get your pricing in line with Amazon's, which is $8, or I'm going to trade the Nook for a Kindle!

Are you having a bad day? Pick up this book and be glad you didn't just accidentally use the 'c-word' when arranging an appointment with a female client or tell your mother you've been arrested all thanks to your smartphone's over aggressive (and apparently dirty-minded) spell checker.

This is not exactly appropriate for children. On another note, I am happy I am not the only one who knows the word "shaudenfruede"!

This book had me ROTFLMAO. I've owned it for about a year and will re-read on occasion and still laugh. I have it on my Nook Color and have no problem reading it, perhaps it is a setting issue for those with viewing problems? I do wish there was more to it, I finished it in a couple of hours.

I originally tried to read this on my IPad, and the photos of the text messages where so tiny I practically had to stick my nose up against the screen, and it still strained my eyes. I tried again on my nook color, and it was a lot better, but if I had known beforehand, I wouldn't have bought it. The pics are just too small! Once you get past all of that, the content was definitely laugh-out-loud funny.
