I recently had the distinct pleasure in reading this book. The author has taken a very serious subject and has given us all a very useful tool in dealing with it. I lost my father to cancer several years ago and I can't begin to describe how helpful this would have been for me as well as him during his last few months. What a great way to remember a loved one! Thank you Angela Dockter-Harris for having the insight to write such a book!!!

In 1992 I lost my oldest son Joshua at the age of two and one half years to the ravages of cancer. I have spent many years walking through that loss and ha ve learned a lot of God's grace and restoration on the way. So when I found Dance in the Rain, I was very interested to hear what Angela Docker-Harris had to say on the subject. I must say, I was very impressed. I wish that I would have had this book in the early years of mourning the loss of Joshua. Docker-Harris does a wonderful job of providing a tangible and personal tool with which to remember, mourn, and celebrate the one that you have lost. She has obviously done her homework, as I was repeatedly thinking that I had always wanted someone to ask me that, or to give me an opportunity to share just those thoughts about my son. She then leads the reader in a scripturally sound study of loss and of healing. Docker-Harris doesn't pull any punches, but boldly attacks the hard questions, such as what happened to my loved one, why would a good God allow such a thing, and what to do with my anger over it all. I would definitely recommend Dance in the Rain to anyone who has experienced the pain and confusion of loosing someone close to them. Well done Angela. Dance in the Rain was a meaningful part of my grieving process after the loss of my infant son.  Angela has a gift and a word from God that heals.
