Overview

Book 1 in the Dance series.

Robbed of her self-esteem during a loveless marriage, recently divorced Lyssa Markham allows her best friend to drag her, costumed as Salome, to a masquerade. She's shocked then intrigued to discover the participants are members of an exclusive sex club. Hiding behind her mask, she permits her long-submerged sensual side to re-emerge as erotic sights and sounds bombard her. Seeing a darkly sexy gladiator inspires her to dance for him, seductively removing one veil at a time until she falls naked into his hot embrace.

Days later, she learns her ex has neglected to fulfill an urgent financial stipulation in the divorce decree. Unable to reach him, she storms into his lawyer's office to resolve the problem and comes face to face with her gladiator. His first words, "Lift up your skirt . . . Salome."

Robert Savidge is everything a woman could want-rich, handsome, successful. Should she obey her impulse and run from him? Or can she find the courage to explore her nascent sensuality with this man who so obviously wants to teach her?

true eroticism good for the mature womans libido

I wasn't sure about erotic books, being mostly a reader of light romance books, but now I find that erotic books are much more riveting if the story is romantic. This one has a great story line without rushing and makes a more mature experienced woman feel good about that. The story has a true to life depiction of what it can be like to be a divorced mother of college bound daughter, struggling with the ex,loss of self esteem, and youthfulness that many can relate to. The story of Lyssa exploring her starved sensuality is hot while Robert the gladiator is on fire! Love, trust, and a monogamous relationship erupt with only a hint of lesbianism . All thanks to Lyssa's bad quirky girlfriend encouraging her to get on with life and explore her sexuality . Who needs friends.. right? I can't wait for other books from Cris Anson to be in paperback format and have already ordered the next one.

Hot, sexy, erotic, did I mention hot?!

Wow, I literally could not put this down until I finished it! Then I read it again! Such a beautiful and sexy story. I know what it is to be ashamed and afraid of how you look and your sexuality due to a mans insensitive comments, and I know how equally powerful the positive side of the equation can be. This story has love, passion, romance, dominance, and an ex who gets put in his place! HA! I love the charm & wit between the characters. And I love the heroine's best friend! Can't say enough positive things about this book!! I can't wait to read the next one!

    Hot!

Very steamy sex scenes. Some character interactions seemed like a bit of a reach, especially with the ex-husband. But, overall, a great deal for a free book.

First Read But Not The Last

This is an erotic story with a solid love base. It's a story of a repressed divorced woman who discovers her sexuality with help from her good friend and super hot attorney. Well done. I'll be reading more of this author's work.

    A Guilty Pleasure!

Don't tell anyone :-). It is really silly, but I didn't mind. Sometimes you need something mindless - and this is perfect for that. I'll be checking out the next book in the series...but let's keep it a secret!

    It grows on you

You can understand a mature woman s/p divorce exploring her options but things do move fast with a loss of inhibitions. Was OK with a rotten ex-husband in the background providing most of the non-romance elements - and a freshman in college. Did not engage me as much as other stories for some reason.
