She is currently toiling away on her next book, wishing she was on a Mexican beach with an ice-cold Corona in one hand and her Kindle in the other. When she is not dabbling in fiction, she is arm wrestling with her two kids, attempting to seduce her husband, and arguing with her sassy cat. Most nights, you can find her hanging out over at www.anncharles.com, on Facebook as Ann Charles, or as DeadwoodViolet on Twitter--especially around midnight when her quirky fictional world comes to life.

Ann Charles has created an intriguing, believable cast of quirky characters in this murder mystery. If you are looking for dark graphic murder scenes this book is not for you, but if you enjoy mysteries with twists and turns and even laughs, I highly recommend this book. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series and I intend to purchase her previous books.

I really enjoyed this series. I had read a few of the Deadwood books and this intrigued me. Gramps is funny. Anyone who has a grumpy grampa or father can relate to this one. I can not wait to read the next one.

a cute story but too much sex for me. it really gave a bad impression of seniors.

This is a great read. Keeps you guessing as you are laughing at the "what next" elements of this book. You will enjoy the main "good" characters and wish they could share in your "real" world.

True, there are many characters in this Ann Charles' creation however, it keeps the mind sharp remembering the relationships and circumstances. Thoroughly enjoyed Dance of the Winnebagos!

Loved this book, and will be reading more Ann Charles! The mystery is intriguing, the writting is good - both witty and flaw-free (not a given in self-published work!). But what puts this book over the top - and earned it the 5th star from me - is the characterization. It's not unusual to encounter quirky characters in a book, and I enjoy that, but they're not always really believable, even if they are fun. Ms Charles has a genius for making her characters feel real, quirks and all.
