Luckily, Rocker Boy thinks Liv's quirks are adorable. He takes her clubbing at the hippest spots! Liv may be clumsy on solid ground, but on the dance floor she sparkles. The summer's just begun and she's already captured the spotlight — and a celeb's heart, too. Now if only she was sure he's the right guy...

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Monserrat Urena
Olivia "Liv" Phillips is a long way from Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is spending her summer in London as an intern for Music Mix Europe. Even before landing at Heathrow she has already imagined a world full of rock stars and parties. Reality, however, proves to be a little different. One of her new roommates acts like a spoiled brat. Her boss is anything but charming. And on her first day in London, Liv manages to crash-land in front of Josh Cameron, International Pop Star. But life is not all bad for Liv. There is fun to be had in London with new friends and a possible relationship with Josh Cameron. Do not, however, let the summary on the back cover of Erin Downing's book fool you. Despite the summary and a possible misinterpretation of the title, this book has little, if anything, to do with dancing. "Dancing Queen" is a reference to the Abba song, which happens to be Liv's anthem of choice. As for Downing's first foray into writing, it is a work of cotton candy. Yet cotton candy is not without its merits. It can be a tasty treat of mindless fluff, or it could be the source of terrible indigestion and possible heartburn. It all depends on the palate of the individual reader.

    Absolutly Loved It!

This is a wonderful book! It has been a while since I read it, but it was great. The main character irritated me at times the way it seemed so clear what she needed to do, but did the exact opposite. Of course, love can blind people...
    I hhighly recommend it!

    This book rocks!

A must have for your summer reading list. You'll feel like you're part of Olivia's magical summer as she completes her internship at a TV music station in London and won't want your adventure to end. It's both funny and touching. A great read. Buy it!

    LOVED IT SOOOO MUCH

I loved it as a whole, but I think Olivia was blind to try and hold on to Josh for so long instead of pursuing a real relationship with Colin. But I forgive her, after all he is a rock star. Speaking of rock... Anna ROCKS she is so cool!! This is a must read for you.
