Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
AGERANGE: Ages 7 to 10.

Banjo Montgomery, his best friend Lee Wong, and his dog Dino go through the Time Warp Tunnel (Dino's doggie door) and find themselves in the time of the dinosaurs. There they join Arbee, an alien creature they met on their first visit, and begin to explore the area. They become separated from Arbee during a Diplodocus stampede and soon learn they are not the only ones lost. They discover a baby Diplodocus. The boys decide they cannot leave it to its predators and they begin to lead it back to the herd. On their way they must face a group of Allosaurs. Then they need to figure out how to get back home. This is the second book in the "Adventures of Dinosaur Dog" series. Boys will easily get hooked by this paperback story, for it contains much of what boys like: lots of action, a dog, an alien from outer space, dinosaurs, and time travel. Black-and-white drawings throughout the book show scenes from the book and include the dinosaurs, the alien creature Arbee, and a map of the prehistoric area. Reviewer: Sharon Salluzzo

    Great chapter book for kids

This is a great chapter book for reluctant readers. They love the premise of a time machine that takes kids back to encounters with dinosaurs. I cannot keep it on my library shelves! They love the whole series and want more!
