About the Author

Michael J. Kalinowski, is a native of Wisconsin. His family moved to San Jose, California where Michael was raised and schooled. He has an Associate of Arts Degree in the Administration of Justice and his interest in environmental concerns led him to take additional coursework in green technology. He was married and has two sons.

Michael moved to Placerville, California in the mid 90's. He volunteered with the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team. He spent 2 summers as a volunteer caretaker at a decommissioned lookout in El Dorado National Forest. He also did volunteer work with the Sacramento Disaster Medical Assistance Team, operating under the Department of Homeland Security for deployment to domestic or foreign disasters.

He currently resides in Hawaii with his second wife and is pursuing a second career as a writer of fiction. He has written editorial content for local news organizations and for a monthly second amendment organization in California. Michael is currently polishing up his first novel and is planning a second one. In addition to writing news editorials, short stories and novels, he is an unpublished songwriter and lyricist.
