About the Author

Dee Ann Palmer grew up listening to her mother practicing stories as a member of the Texas Story Tellers Association. A lonely child, she entertained herself by making up stories, putting them on paper as soon as she learned cursive writing.

With a bachelor's degree in nursing, it was when she sent an article cold to a magazine--and they bought and published it--that she learned she was also a writer. Soon after, she won First Award for Writing from RN magazine. Encouraged, she continued to write. Marriage, children and a career couldn't squelch her need to express her ideas on paper.

Today Palmer is a member of the Published Author Network of Romance Writers of America(RWA-PAN)and Sisters in Crime/Los Angeles. In 2002, she was honored as a Pen Woman of the Year by The National League of American Pen Women.

She lives with her husband and an adored older cat in southern California, enjoying her family and friends, the beauty of the town in which they live, books and writing.
