Feelings kill faster than bullets -- Drake’s creed.

Victor "Drake" Drakovich is a legend. A man who deals straight but who makes a deadly enemy when crossed. Head of a billion-dollar empire, he is a target for greedy men everywhere. For Drake’s in a terrifyingly dangerous business and lives surrounded by tight security and has survived numerous attempts on his life. His enemies would love to find a weakness, but Drake doesn’t have human weaknesses, certainly not women. He trusts nobody, he is nobody’s friend, he loves no one.

Until one day he comes across Grace Larsen, a gifted artist and a gentle beauty -- and his world is turned upside down. Suddenly Drake’s dangerous passion for this woman makes him a target. Loving her is a huge risk. It doesn’t feel that way, though. It feels like…life itself.

His enemies are after him, but he will stop at nothing to protect his woman and his newfound love.

    Dangerous Good!

I have read all the books in the author's Dangerous series. I have loved them all. I really enjoy her "alpha males". They have everything you could possibly want in a traditional hero; they're physically strong, emotionally tough (yet tender) even ruthless at times but they are respectful of women. They have a particular reverence for that one woman who has captured their heart. And they will do everything in their power to keep her safe. I realize that these heros may not be very PC but WHO CARES! These guys are HOT! The women in these stories more than rise to meet the challenge of being loved by these heroes. This book is well worth the price of admission into a world where men are men and women are loved by them!

    Erotic love story thriller mystery

BUY BUY BUY. I read this book in a day. I just couldn't put it down. I enjoyed the story and main characters. So what a lot of the stuff is unbelievable; BUT, so what. It's a book not the cure for cancer. It definitely entertained me. There are twists and some loose ends that have me hanging; hence, the reason I gave the book 4 stars instead of a 5 star rating. What happened to the snitch, original men including right hand assistant, and the revenge sponsor? Why sell art now? I think the author should have given me more closure / answers. Unless, this there's going to another book that provides me with the answers. Nonetheless, i enjoyed my ride.

    Lots of Chemistry and Suspense

If, as a fan, I compare everything (anything) to this author's Midnight series, it's going to come up short. I had a little bit of a hard time accepting a criminal as a hero (but not as super hot--and he was). Grace was better drawn (ouch) than many of LMRs other heroines and I felt it added to the story. The love scenes are graphic, if not plentiful, but most of the chemistry is in the foreplay. I'd have given it five stars if she'd wrapped up one loose element that wasn't dealt with (not that it was very important) and not been quite so repetitive in places.

    wow

this ebook was really great. from the beginning to the end there was an intensity and chemistry between the two characters that was off the charts. the only complaint i have is that i had to pay 9.99 for an ebook. its not right and it feels like price gouging to me. 9.99 is the price we should pay for a book, not an ebook

    Obligatory Third Book

I'm a huge Lisa Marie Rice fan but "Dangerous Passion" falls short of the first two installments of this trilogy. The book feels hurried and the plot veers wide of reality. Does anyone believe that a gun battle, resulting in multiple corpses, outside of a swanky Manhattan art gallery would go unnoticed by the FBI, CIA or even the local police? I know things are tough for us single city girls, but Ms Rice makes hooking-up down right bloody, killing off a surprising number of people before our heroine scores a first kiss.

This brings us to the other problem in the book, the heroine, Grace Larson. Ms Rice writes about women who are slightly removed from the mainstream. Whether it's their location, or a family or health tragedy, their circumstances make them touchingly innocent and in need of a strong protector. Grace, however, was too removed. She was so singularity focused on her art that I started to wonder if she suffered from Asperger's Syndrome. Much the way crayons are given to traumatized children; a set of new art supplies easily distracts her from the violence and chaos that suddenly enters her life.

Still the book isn't all-bad. The hero, Victor "Drake" Drakovich, comes across as a genuine, despite his unrealistic lifestyle. As an alpha-male, he doesn't lack anything. He treats Grace well, and stops at nothing to protect her. I love that he is Slavic, a refreshing flip from all evil Eastern Block mobsters that fill the movies these days. More importantly I love the fact that he is stands under 6'. I like tall men but height isn't everything. Too many beautiful, sculpted, alpha-males are passed over by men who have nothing on them except a few inches. Those inches can easily be distributed elsewhere!

With more time and thought I think Dangerous Passions might have been a better read. And I don't blame Ms Rice's entirely for its failure. The romance industry is more interested in franchises and was probably hurrying her to finish the third book. What is wrong with a pair of good books? Maybe it because there isn't a word that precedes "trilogy".

I hope this isn't the last book from this author writing as Lisa Marie Rice. Now that would be a disappointment.

Good book for a rainy day....

I like Lisa Marie Rice's books. I generally can picture the characters and settings. In Dangerous Passion, I did not have a clear picture of Grace. Some of the things that Drake thought about her did not come through. I think more about her character would have added to the story. I however did enough the book ... just thought it was not as strong as past writings.

    Great love story

It's nice to think that someone who has lived his entire life looking out for self could meet and fall in love with the one woman to inspire him to change it all.

    Escapism=Dangerous Passion

This book is thrilling and emotional. Its for anyone that wants to step out of their own world and go into someone elses exciting world. Sex can be written about in any book, but only certain books can decribe how akward and difficult it is to expreess yourself emotionally. A deffinet must read.
