Like the best booty-shakin' go-go jam (think E.U.'s "Da Butt" or DJ Kool's "Let Me Clear My Throat"), "Crazy in Love" -- the spastic drum- and horn-propelled lead single from Beyoncé Knowles's long-awaited solo disc -- commands listeners to move somethin'. And the lust fest doesn't stop there. Although she's beckoned us to "say my name, say my name" before, somehow when Beyoncé purrs, "I'm feeling sexy / I want to hear you say my name, boy," on "Naughty Girl" (which snags lyrics from Donna Summer's "Love to Love You Baby"), the request sounds, well, naughtier. From the sound of those scintillating songs (and one look at the steamy video for "Crazy in Love"), it's obvious that this hormone-fueled and Dangerously in Love Beyoncé is ready to shed her good-girl image -- a welcome makeover for fans who've been infatuated with the caramel vixen and her powerhouse pipes since she proclaimed her bootylicious-ness back in 2001. Musically, however, the disc doesn't quite sustain the sexually charged energy of the lead single. Although Knowles wrangled top-shelf collaborations with dancehall star Sean Paul (the Hindi-meets-hip-hop-driven "Bad Boy"), Missy Elliott (the playful "Signs"), OutKast's Big Boi (the Dirty South dirge "Hip Hop Star"), and Luther Vandross (a remake of Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway's duet "The Closer I Get to You," also found on Vandross's Dance with My Father), the disc was executive-produced by Beyoncé's dad, Matthew Knowles, who ensures it has the generic, CCM-cum-pop-tinged R&B production quality of all Destiny's Child projects. Even so, when the 21-year-old's dynamic vocals take center stage, as on the "Strawberry Letter 23"inspired "Be with You," the power ballad title track, and the jazzy "Gift from Virgo," her star shines so brightly that it nearly implodes. It may not be history making -- as her beau, Jay-Z, boasts on "Crazy in Love" -- but with the intimate Dangerously in Love, a grown-up Beyoncé takes catwalk-worthy strides toward controlling her own destiny.

I Am So Happy About This CD!!
This album is so refreshing because it is different from anything else. She really shows what she can do with her voice, on this album.
The single "Crazyin Love" is a catchy song yes, but tht is all. She has little vocal talent ( not saying that I do, but she is supposed to have a very good voice.)
Beyonce's Crazy In Love is the best song ever.I watch MTV and BET all day and that song is always in the top three in countdowns!Even the hosts will say I wonder what number Beyonce's at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This cd attempts to change her target audience, as evidenced in the song "Hip Hop Star". It doesn't work. There's a definite lack of originality and creativity. There's too much Jigga and a number of under utilized guests including Missy and Sean Paul. And if you don't know Beyonce's sun sign, you definitely will by the end of this cd. The slow songs, such as a remake of Bootsy Collins' "I'd Rather Be With You" are much better than the fast ones. The cd also includes 3 previously released songs. With all that said there's no doubt people will buy this cd just because it's Beyonce. And I'm sure some serious remixes will happen to go along with videos to make the cd a hit. But, that doesn't mean it's good. Don’t Waste Your Money.
with a debut single like "Work It Out" and a very hot performance with Carlos Santana and an amazing performance at "West Side Story Benefit" and VH1's Divas Live - I expected more - the songs are beautiful and her singing perfect but there is something that is missing - the girls - good CD but just not Dive status - great songs "Crazy Love" - "Dangerously in Love"
I was pleasently pleased to find out that this album wasnt what I expected it to be. I have havent been a big DC fan since The Writings on the Wall (Survivor gave me a headache)So I wasnt really big on buying any of the individaul albums but this on is pretty good...The ballads are great they have a nice slow groove about them. The only thing that kept me from giving this album 5 stars is the upbeat songs, they sound like they should be theme songs for a kids cartoon(with the exception of Crazy in love.
Beyonce Knowles is one of the hardest working people in the biz. After successfully trying her hands at writing some of Destiny's Child first album, alot of the second and all of the third. But now it is her time to shine. Beyonce steps out to the scene with a new attitude a whole lot of soul. "Crazy In Love", (which is what she is) is the first song featuring her beau Jay-Z. This is one of my favorite songs especially because of the CRAZY booty dance. Skipping around to "Baby Boy" ('03 Bonnie & Clyde Pt2) featuring Sean Paul. This song is also hot. The next hot song is "Be With You". Then moving along to "Yes". "Yes" shows how grown up Beyonce really is. She is talking about giving herself unconditionally to a guy and he is taking it for granted. The next song which is my personal favorite "Signs" featuring Missy Elliott. Missy outdid herself on this song again. She is returing the favor when Beyonce was on Missy's Under Construction album. The reason I absolutely loved this song was because Beyonce was talking about Zodiac Signs and she fell in love with an Sagittarius like myself. The beat was slow and mellow and the chorus is hot. The next hot song is featuring her beau Jay-Z with "That's How You Like It". Beyonce suprised everyone with 2 hot songs. Her powerful duet with Luther Vandross on the Donnie Hathoway and Roberta Flack track "The Closer I Get To You". And the last suprise is her title cut. "Dangerously In Love" (Part 2). This track was not originally suppose to be apart of the album. She re-recorded the song without Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child. This song was originally on "Survivor" the DC3 album. Beyonce Knowles shows true soul in singing, writing, and acting. Beyonce do your thing.
At first, I thought Beyonce's new album, Dangerously In Love, would be another one of those albums that would long fade before it would be held in my hands. The first listen surprised me. Beyonce now in my heart is classified as an "artist", instead of an annoying singer that's always being posted on magazines and tv shows to increase an attempt for more album sales and popularity. I now have to admit that Beyonce is more than a singer, she's truly growing from the seed of a popular group of "Destiny" into a solo artist that truly knows how to show her stuff! Her showcase of love, power, beauty, and true colors will now make everyone become "Dangerously In Love" with Beyonce!
THIS CD IS HOT! BEYONCE'S VOCAL RANGE IS AWESOME AND ALL OF THE SONGS ARE NICE AND SOME ARE VERY STEAMY. THERE IS NOT ONE SONG THAT I DON'T LIKE. VERY ENTERTAINING.
Cd is so Kewl and helful to people out there with problems in thier relashonnships. She shows in a classy way that shes now a youngwomen of 21.Without the other members in the group she seems more upbeat and free, in her lyrics!
This is such a great album and Beyonce really shows her vocals. She is such a great artist and not many women can sing like her. I hope she makes another album along with Destiny's Child.
I bought the album right when it came out, and to be honest i wasn't to hype about it after hearing it. Though Beyonce is a good artist, i thought only three of the songs were good. I expected more from the CD especially because of it was Beyonce's solo album.
This CD was great. It shows her range and growth as a person and a singer. I like the fact that it talks about love and relationships as an adult, not a child. I esp. love the last song "Daddy".
Beyonce' iz killen it! Diz qurl iz reallii talented! Diz iz a real good CD.She iz tha mozt talented female out thurr. Yall reallii need diz album. Holla atcha qurl.
I HAVE BEEN HOLDING MY BREATH FOR A LONG TIME AWAITNG EACH OF THE MEMBERS OF DC3 TO SHOW THERE INDIVIDUAL TALENT, BUT BEYONCE HAS LEFT ME WITH A LASTING IMPRESSION! I AM SO PROUD OF HER DIVA LIKE TRANSFER FROM GIRL TO A SOPHISTICATED WOMAN. THIS ALBUM WAS THE MOST ANTICIPATED EVER...AND IT IS BRILLANT!! I NOW CAN TAKE A SIGH OF RELEIF!!
I want to work in a video with her
This is one incredible cd. Beyonce you did your thing ma, one day I hope to work with you. These songs are so welly wrote. Bey's voice is working it out too. I never heard her sing the way she does on some songs. I like the different voices. We knew she would be good after seeing the Diva's show which she blew up. This girl is gonna be amazing, and she will cast out demons when and if she ever does a gospel project. Im praying on that. Beyonce this CD is so real ma, im alil shocked at some of the words the rappers do on your cd, but its not as bad as alot of these others be. Which shows you haven't forgoten who brought you here. Proud of Beyonce indeed.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WELCOME TO THE REBIRTH AND RESURRECTION OF BLACKLOVE. THIS ALBUM WILL APPEAL TO OLD AND NEW SCHOOL "SPEECHLESS"...IS MY FAVORITE BECAUSE LIKE THE REST OF THIS ALBUM, IT TAKES YOU ON A RIDE AS IT TURNS AND TWIST INSIDE YOUR SOUL CAPTURING YOUR HEART UNTIL YOU GIVE INTO THAT FEELING OF BEING IN LOVE.IN MY OPINION, BEYONCE TURNED OUT ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE STUDIO AND GOT ARTISTICALLY,NAKED AND GAVE US ALL SHE HAD IN HER SOUL THRU THE EXPRESSION OF SONG...DONT KNOCK THIS GIRL SHE CAN BLOW!!! HER COLLABORATION W/BIGBOI,(HIP HOP STAR)REMINDS ME OF A CUT FROM THEIR ALBUM AQUEMINI...ITS SO DAMN FUNKY!!!YOU CAN PLAY THIS ALBUM OVER AND OVER ALL THE WAY THRU...NOTHING HAS FLOWED THIS WELL SINCE FAITH EVANS CAME OUT WITH HER TIMELESS FIRST ALBUM ENTITLED,"FAITH"...BOTTOM LINE YA'LL, GET THIS ALBUM!!!
I really like the outcome of this album. Very tasteful. Although I enjoy her live performance of "Dangerously in Love" and the version originally put on the Destiny's Child CD much better than the one here. Other than that, it is well worth your time.
I am very impressed with the vocal talents of Beyonce' and how she showcased them very well on her debut album. The best so far. Congrats B!
Its wonderful, Beyonce is the best!

Looks like Jay-Z gave her somethin to sing about. Very good album
This cd is just a waste of money. Very disappointing.
