This is listed as a short story on the cover of the book. It is 118 pages long. It is more like a short book-the charector development is complete and there are several chapters, so the story's plot is developed as well. Worth reading.

The story is well done -the body in the locked room with no gun - with fun characters. Good little mystery that keeps you wondering. Writing was well done with largely great grammar and avoided a major annoyance; a huge pet peeve of mine is poor grammar and spelling, add a clearly poor or non-existent copy editor and I will delete a book in the first pages. But, again, not the case here except for the occasional mistake. Billed as a sort story, I would call it more of a short book. I would actually very much like to see a full length novel from this author. Characters are coming to life nicely but then the book is over. Book doesn't end poorly or too quickly. I would just like to know the interesting characters for longer than one does. I think most people would be hard pressed to not enjoy this light, wry, and a little funny story.

Fast and interesting not to mention captivating! Only complaint would be, like the last bite of candy, wish there was more.

Dani, the woman P.I. is smart and with the aid of her contacts, quickly solves the cold case murder and gains the respect of the local police. A book, when finished leaves you wanting more.

Dani hayward is a P.I. to watch out for. She lines up her facts; no matter how old the evidenc is and then brings it out in the open.

Although the heroine is a bit overbearing, the plot details seem to hold the reader's attention and expect the best outcome in this novella, evidently one of a series of relatively short stories. I'd like to read more of Ms. Hatward's adventures before passing a final judgement, but for now the story was entertaining as a short read.
