Daniel’s Desire is the type of book you come across only every now and then. I started reading it and didn’t stop until finished. The characters became alive with page one. Daniel McCoy was neither Reb nor Yank, he was just a good, honest man caught up in a Civil War. Colleen Greene did a beautiful job recreating this tragic event. Rosemarie is a strong woman worthy of Daniel’s love and her son, Chandler is how you picture a small boy of that time. Just when you thought you had the plot figured out, Greene does a believable twist. My main comment is: I didn’t want it to end. I look forward to reading more of Greene’s work.
