Danny is 55 years old and doesn't look a day over eight. Ah, the immortality of a good book. This book is rather long to read to toddlers, as in it has a lot of pages. But my toddler stayed still for the whole book. Probably because there are only a couple of lines on each page and wonderful, colorful, large illustrations above the words. There is a courtesy in older books that is missing from most newer books. At least, I miss it. I imagine in another 55 years, young children will still read about Danny and the dinosaur. And they will still find them charming.

This book was a little advanced for beginner readers, but once the words are learned and read about twice, then its a nice beginner book. My son loves this one too!

This book is a wonderful one for young children. It encourages them to use their imagination and enjoy the story. The vocabulary is a little complicated for beginning readers. I imagine this would be most popular with boys.Very cute book, I would recommend it to anyone  with young children.

This is a good book for beginning readers who love dinosaurs! This would be a great read aloud for you to read to your child and then they can read it back to you1

My nephew loves this and reads it daily. What more could a long distance aunt hope for?

Almost all little boys love dinosaurs. I gave this to my nephew who is 3 for Christmas. He loved the illustrations so did his mom because she read it when she was little.

A very good book for 3 years old or older, especially boys. I am a daycare provider and read it to my children and they love the antics of Danny and the Dinosaur. Dinosaur's are so enticing on their own but pair it with a boy out on the town and you have a big hit in my daycare. We will be reading it for years to come.

Cute book, but a little long if you are planning to read it to a toddler.

The "I Can Read" series which includes this level one book is great. My 4 year old loves reading them over and over. This one is really cute. Who doesn't wish they had a pet Dinosaur!

I read Danny and the Dinosaur to my sister when I was 14 and she was 2. Now I am reading it to my 2 year old. She loves the pictures and the story. Even though she can not speak clearly yet, she can "read" this story to us and tell us what happened. I would recommend to all children as a first book.

Very disappointed that I puchased this and could not read it on my Nook App. Why offer it as a Nook Book then and not include this important piece of information?
