    Dante's Gamble Paid Off

    I loved this book!

Day Leclaire put a sexy twist on Dante's inferno and made it the theme of this novel. It seems that the Dante men have a curse (blessing, if you ask me) to instantly recognize their soul mates, and to forever have a fire for them. This was the case for Luc and Tea when they were children. So, their wise grandparents kept them apart until they were old enough to act on the inferno.

The grandparents in this story are fabulously funny and almost stole the show! I loved every moment of their interfering and scheming to get these two together. I really did laugh out loud when the grandparents decided that these two were engaged. I don't want to spoil it for you, so I'll just say that in my Italian family, I'd have been considered engaged for a lot less!

I will say this. Leclaire nailed the alpha male/strong female relationship. The connection between the hero and heroine is sexy, dynamic, and romantic. I cared about the characters and especially loved the alpha arrogance of Luc. He was positively delicious!

Read it for the hero and heroine, laugh your butt off for the grandparents, especially near the end. You'll love it, too!
