Dare to Ask Why: A Health Professional Seeks Answers to Failing Health
What happens when a healthcare professional’s own health becomes compromised?
A Health Professional is met with debilitating symptoms as their
body systematically deteriorates…with a vengeance, from an elusive force.
While the medical profession remained unwilling to recognize that a viable
cause for such symptoms existed, the writer was left to their own resources,
to seek out the truth behind this unexplainable eradication of body and mind.
Terrified of the proposed psychological labels; a challenge was embarked upon.
The Mission...to seek out and implement any means in order to survive, while urging a disintegrating body to search out and analyse the probability of a real diagnoses.
A desperate search for answers, to the questions most fear to ask.
Vector borne illnesses are a growing epidemic in North America, and maintaining a strong, healthy lifestyle is foremost in order to win the battle against such contemptuous illnesses. These infections, caused by life-robbing bacteria, appear to remain undiagnosed, ignored and primarily invisible to most modern medical professionals. Victims continue to suffer in silence; incarcerated by a system of wrong diagnoses and inappropriate medical treatment. The ability to think, rationalize and communicate; extinguished. Confidence and hope seep from a body unable to heal, as it falls hostage to a world of relentless pain, fear and despair; the loss of one’s personality, integrity and honor, mandated by current practices.
Dare to Ask Why' is a dialogue of a Canadian medical professional who fell ill with insurmountable symptoms while working in the United States; symptoms which grew to consume every aspect of her life. Initially attributed to high-stress work, increasing age and hormonal issues, by an ill-informed medical system; her body and mind deteriorated. Observing first-hand how infirm people are perceived by medical professionals. While being disregarded and banished became commonplace, it also served to fuel the ever-growing list of questions.
While struggling to find the strength and courage to disprove what she was being compelled to believe, the battle to maintain her own life waged onward; endeavors which evolved into a formidable pursuit for truth as well as an accurate diagnosis. With past ruins now in a state of repair and the rebuilding of a new life, the hidden truths have emerge. Sharing lessons which helped to save her life with those seeking answers, and encouraging others to similarly ask ‘Why’.
