More About This Book

Overview

This is intended for purchase alongside Brené Brown's original book, Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead.

Do you cower away from life's challenges in fear of failure? Life is not about winning or losing, it's about having the courage to fully engage and live authentically.
Daring Greatly ...in 30 Minutes is the essential guide to quickly understanding how to live wholeheartedly and embrace vulnerability as outlined in Daring Greatly, by best-selling author Brené Brown. Daring Greatly ...in 30 Minutes offers:

• Insightful information about Brené Brown, her popular TED talk, and the words by Theodore Roosevelt that inspired her
• An explanation of key concepts, including why vulnerability is often the origin of success and happiness
• Applications and key takeaways for utilizing Brown's theories to live a worthy, connected, and authentic life
• Critical reception to the work, highlighting essential arguments by major publications and thought leaders

In Daring Greatly, best-selling author and research professor Brené Brown explores the world of shame and vulnerability. Having spent ten years conducting research on the subject, Brown posits that life is about having the courage to dare greatly.

According to Brown, people's belief that they are not enough, and do not have enough, spills over into their workplaces, affects their social lives, and causes distress within their families. In Daring Greatly, Brown explains that if people can learn to practice vulnerability, they can find deeper connections with family members, friends, and coworkers-and, perhaps most important, they can establish compassionate and loving relationships with themselves.

An essential read for anyone who aspires to bring purpose to their life, Daring Greatly ...in 30 Minutes provides the essential tools for living a fulfilled, connected, and authentic life.

This noteworthy guide to Brene Brown's full-length Daring Greatl

This noteworthy guide to Brene Brown's full-length Daring Greatly, was a simple and understandable read, illustrating the author's theories on susceptibility and involving emotions in life and love. The guide was hand-in-hand with the full book. The author discusses false feelings of adequacy and how this relates to achieving more physical as well as intangible things. She explains how to cling to your emotions instead of being afraid and/or ashamed of them. She analyzes how to develop a callous towards the negative impact that others can have on your emotions. An engaging, easy to follow, and interesting view on changing your life for the positive.

¿Daring Greatly in 30 Minutes¿ provides a condensed version Bren

“Daring Greatly in 30 Minutes” provides a condensed version Brene Brown’s best-selling book in a format that is easy to read yet maintains all of the ideas and research from the original. This book provides enough information to start putting the ideas and theories to use in your life right away. As the work-at-home mother of a toddler, I rarely have enough time to read a full book. I enjoyed the chance to read about the concept of embracing vulnerability and creating shame resilience in the few minutes of free time I have.

A Strong Hook to an Interesting Book

This book, “Daring Greatly… in 30 minutes”, is a compelling plea to a society of people filled with scarcity and self-criticism to release the vulnerability within themselves in order to live honest, fulfilling lives. It supplies a complete summary of Brene Brown’s original full-length book. Additionally, this guide contains supplemental background information on the author and her previous work. Overall, I found it to be a quick read that sparked an interest in vulnerability studies. Brown’s findings may apply to both the corporate world and the home; this book would be great for either the aspiring young associate or the working mother.

This book is a short read, which is something that is necessary

This book is a short read, which is something that is necessary for me as a mom of two small children. I enjoyed being able to read through highlights of Brene Brown’s book, Daring Greatly. This Expert Guide introduces key concepts, and also gives short glimpses into each chapter from Brown’s book. The book left me interested in learning more about being vulnerable in relationships, and also learning how to teach my kids that it’s ok to put themselves out there, even if it means they might fail sometimes. I recommend this book to people who might be short on time, but interested in enriching their lives.

Self-help books are very popular, but many are quiet lengthy including Brene Brown’s "Daring Greatly " at over 300 pages.  Her theory of converting vulnerability into a strength is intriguing but perhaps too long for some readers.  This is where "Daring Greatly in 30 Minutes—The Expert Guide" comes in.  Providing a synopsis and analysis of the original text’s thesis, "The Expert Guide" explains the premise behind Brown’s book, how one can use the theory daily, and statistically supports its merits. While at times "The Expert Guide" can be a bit redundant, it is a solid presentation of "Daring Greatly."

The Expert Guide to Brene Brown's Daring Greatly ...In 30 M

The Expert Guide to Brene Brown's Daring Greatly ...In 30 Minutes is a review of the original book she wrote, explaining how to live your life by daring greatly.  This concept came from a 1910 speech given by Theodore Roosevelt.  This book provides an extended review of the original, like a Cliff's Notes version, teaching readers how to conquer the vulnerability we all experience and how to live their lives by daring greatly.  After reading this book, I plan to follow this process myself.  I would strongly recommend this book to those interested in making a positive change in their lives, while having the opportunity to learn the process quickly, leading to living their lives daring greatly.

This short e-book is a wonderful introduction to Brown¿s longer

This short e-book is a wonderful introduction to Brown’s longer work. It details the life-changing content of the book and provides excellent overviews of each chapter in the full-length edition. The summaries of each chapter are very informative and helpful, as are the specific examples included at the end of each summary. The sample concepts applicable to daily life were my favorite part, however. They were great for taking the information presented in each chapter and relating back to my own experience. Overall I really enjoyed this book, and highly recommend it for everyone looking for a quick introduction to a way to change their lives for the better.
