The final Repairman Jack urban fantasy is a great ending to a powerful long running series

In Long Island Otherness avatar Rasalom has set in motion a diabolical scheme to force the Change. The avatar knows that if the planet's Lady dies one more time, she cannot return as she has twice before, which will enable the Otherness to invade an unprotected earth. He also prepares the second coming of Dawn Pickering's dead baby to mentor as the face of the Change.

Jack wants to destroy his enemy, but is bound by the vow he made to his teacher Glaeken. However, his mentor is dying and Jack will not only replace him, but will go after his evil enemy. Former Rasalom lieutenant Ernst Drexler allies with his long term nemesis Jack as he knows what the Change will mean to his well being. Meanwhile as the time nears, Jack knows he must kill Rasalom and save the Dawn baby or die trying.

The final Repairman Jack urban fantasy is a great ending to a powerful long running series. The story line brings closure to all the major threads in a dynamic finish. With the cosmic apocalyptic war between the Ally and the Otherness on battlefield earth, ironically and brilliantly, the climax is human.

Jack at his best and worst

    Loved it.
FPW ties up a bunch of loose ends while paring down the characters who will be in Nightworld.
I'm sad it's almost over but yet I can't wait to see what " will start in the heavens ".

A must read for fans of Repairman Jack.

I was really surprised by the ending. Think anyone else that will read the book will be surprised too - not what I expected at all. Great book that will be enjoyed by fans of Repairman Jack.

    Awesome Prelude To Nightworld!!!

Essentially it's Mr. Wilson's Empire Strikes Back! You're given hope that Jack & Co. will find a way to defeat The R Man, however in the back of your mind you have a feeling they won't. He seems to spend the book's time giving you hope than taking it away, than giving it back only to take it away again. It's a great roller coaster ride all the way to the end. I CANNOT WAIT TO READ NIGHTWORLD!!! Mr. Wilson said that he was eventually going to end this series and he is well on his way to giving Jack the send off he deserves. I wonder if we'll ever find out what Jack's last name is? Well done, Mr. Wilson.

read if you've been reading the series, not recommended for someone who hasn't read the series (all of them).

recommended if you've been a fanboy of Jack, just to have closure. Seems like Mr. Wilson just kinda wanted to finish the series. Not near as enjoyable as the rest of the series.
