Oh my Dark Awakening is an Awesome book and it picks right up where Dark Shadows left us.
Layla is determined to find out who is doing the killings. She also relives more of her past. She
and Shades relationship is as HOT as ever but takes a turn for the worse also.
Great Read and I love the Cover !!! Cant wait to read the next book in the series ..

Thank you to Ms. Hancock for providing an ecopy of this book...
Cover: It's alright...
I have to say that this was just an alright book... It had a lot of revelations, to the point that I was expecting another revelation in the next chapter... But the good side was they did not bore me, they were actually interesting, it's just that because of their number it quite annoyed me... And with all those revelations, it was quite disappointing that I felt that nothing major was happening...
BUT, there's a big BUT, the book did not disappoint in the last parts... I did not expect that EVER!!! I was so shocked that I have to read that chapter again... And because of that, the book somehow redeemed itself to me...
Overall, the book was very good... I was just hoping that the first and middle part of the book were as interesting as the last part...
Happy Reading!!! Thank you!!!

Dark Awakening is the 3rd book in Natalie Hancock's Cursed in Darkness series and picks the storyline up right where Dark Shadows, book 2, left off. In the first chapter we learn more about Layla's childhood and background. Layla suffers near fatal injuries in a surprise attack. While she is prepared to die the fates will not allow it and she finds herself, or her soul, on a mountainside having an intriguing conversation with her mother. She knows she must return to her body and continue the fight to save her people. This book contains much more of the training sequences and fighting scenes that Ms. Hancock writes so well and we begin to see more of the enemies our vampires are up against. Throughout the book Shade and Layla continue to deepen their relationship, and this does not sit well with some of the students at the academy, among others. The last few chapters of Dark Awakenings will have you sitting on the edge of your seat turning pages as fast as you can to find out what's coming next. I highly recommend this book for it's action, on and off the training field and I look forward to reading the next book in this series. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
