DARK CRAVING
A Dark King Story
Fueled by ancient magic—and enflamed by human desire—the Dragon King known as Hal can transform himself at will into one of the legendary winged creatures he is sworn to protect. But one thing he can never do is fall in love…with a mortal woman.
Searching for her brother in Scotland—and succumbing to the freezing cold—Cassie Hunter awakens to find herself in the arms of a magnificent Highland warrior. Across his chest is the tattoo of a fiery dragon. And in his heart is a burning passion that, once unleashed, will consume them both…body and soul.
This is a story of destiny and desire, magic and mystery, warriors and lovers.
These are the forbidden cravings of the Dark Kings.
Don’t miss the Dark Sword and Dark Warrior novels by Donna Grant—also set in this scintillating world of Highland magic and legendary lovers.

Enjoyed this new series from Ms. Grant. She briefly connects this dragon shifting tale to Warrior series. Only thing that disappointing about it was the length. (95 pg.) Looking forward to the next one.

Characters and scenes not thoughtfully developed. More like
a class assignment hurriedly written. There is nothing there thatmakes one relate or care, too bad, the idea for the story is a good one.

I enjoyed the book, but I don't understand this new thing with books being less than 200 pages. There wasn't enough content. I'm sure the next books in the series will continue the story, but I needed more in this one.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. This is the first book that I have ever read by Donna Grant and I will totally be getting more. I loved this 3 book novella start to a great new series called the Dark Kings. This is the first of the 3 short (less then 100 pages per book) novellas that will start off the series. It is about Hal and Cassie. Cassie is an American who lost her job and moves to Scotland to renovate her brother's cottage in exchange for living there until she figures out what to do next. Hal is a man with a secret that he has kept for over a millinium.
When Cassie and Hal meet there are instant sparks. But Cassie is an outsider and can Hal and his brother's risk a repeat of the past by letting Cassie in? Can Hal deny what he feels for Cassie and walk away? Will they get a HEA? You have to get this book and find out :)
Loved everything about this series and will need to get the Dark Sword and Dark Warriors series also by Donna Grant until we get more Dark Kings.

Not well thought out. Everything is rushed and the relationship development is not believable at all. Only 90 pages long.

I did like the story but the author needed to take more time and develop the characters and their relationship. It felt very rushed and that made it a little hard to believe. But, for .99, it wasnt badm

This was the first book written by this author I have read. It took a little time to get a good start but by the end I was eager to see how the rest of the series will end. Once the story got going it moved at a good pace, you don't get a lot of background about the hero, hopefully we will find out more as the series progresses

Although it is only 95 pages in length, this is a great story. Loved it and look forward to the next one in Sept. Highly recommend.

It is a book you wish was a bit longer and I love how protective the Dragon King is of what they want, including their women.
