    Not Much Substance

These guys are basically the AC/DC of the nu metal scene. Power chords, weak drumming, good production values, and a semi-charismatic vocalist make for your atypical nu metal album. Extra points for the cover of Rowboat and some good electronic ambience in spots, but this isn't exactly fascinating overall. Still if you want something to bang your head to it's a good choice.

    Fire for the rest

The band definitely made a great album. I've only heard a few songs from Chamber music, and I own the first CD, but these guys are still just as great, if not better than they were before. The music is hard and heavy, and the vocals are dark and loud. Just the way i like it.

Coal Chambers Darkest Release To Date !

Coal Chamber's most recent release entitled, ''Dark Days,'' is perhaps the most exciting new metal release of the year. Following up the bands previous hits, ''LOCO, et. al.,'' songs like ''Rowboat'' and ''Fiend'' had me feeling like i was wallowing in the darkest quagmire of the belly of the beast.(and he had an upset stomach.) I whole heartedly recommend Dark Days.

Its better than the last one.

The two hits they had before ''Loco'' and ''Big Truck'' consisted of one sentance in the entire song. They have added lyrics finally. They have a long way to go before they can put meaningful matereal down, but they have an extroidinary potential with the band members playing so hard and fast. Maybe they can get on track to the big time with their next one because this one won't get them there.

    Coal Chamber proves they rule!

Finally, they come out with a new CD...and it doesn't suck(as opose to their previous one, Chamber Music, which...im sorry...but sucked). Dark Days however, is heavier, louder, and just plain better than anything they've ever doen(except of course of old songs like Loco and Big Truck). I say buy it if your looking for something that is one step past their first CD and if your like me and tired of the poop called Chamber Music.

    Coal Chamber's Dark Days

Upon hearing Coal Chamber's ''Dark Days'' I must say that it is one of the best heavy music releases to date. The transition from ''Chamber Music'' to ''Dark Days'' reminds of the transiton of Pantera between ''Vulgar Display of Power'' and ''Far Beyond Driven''. The album was put together in such way that one feels empowered aferter listening to just a few songs. This is an essential heavy album to own. Unlike everything else out there, Coal Chamber once again shows us that inovation and change will make people listen.
