Overview

Raelyn, the newest Champion of the Sky Guardian of Dark, arrives at Shardore Castle in the middle of Royal City, the uppermost tier of Nightreach. Raelyn finds herself, trying to unravel a complex knot of puzzling information in an attempt to follow through with a promise, along with completing the task she was given by the High Council in Eh'mah'lune. She must do this to prevent more lives from being lost--including her own. When morally grey areas begin to appear within the monarchy things start to get messy, and all Raelyn and her dragon can do is trust they will make the right decisions--or will those decisions turn DARK?

About the Author

Elle Doyenne, a pseudonym for Lacey Leigh, grew up in southern California where she fell in love with everything fantasy through the works of Anne McCaffrey and The Dragonriders of Pern series. Elle dipped her toes into writing poetry, earning a published place in an anthology through Writer's Choice at only 14 years old, but then turned to her love of art for many years, focusing on character design until going to college and eventually receiving a Master of Science in Psychology. Elle turned back to writing in 2015 while working through her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, publishing two books before starting the Fantasy Fables short story series first published in 2021.

When Elle is not writing at coffee shops or libraries in Fort Smith Arkansas, she is at home with her high school sweetheart and two children. She loves her current day job working as an Activity Coordinator for those struggling with their mental health.

In her free time, Elle enjoys playing video games, reading, listening to all kinds of music, and watching shows she is currently hyper-fixating on.
