Editorial Reviews

Booklist
Cindy is worried about her business partner and best friend's disappearance in Ecuador, so she travels to Quito to find her. Because her wealthy, powerful father insists that she hire a guide, she reluctantly retains the extremely macho Trace, who views her as a spoiled American princess with too much money and no sense. She doesn't know that her father has offered Trace an astronomical amount of money, and neither knows that Cindy's father is hoping that Trace will seduce his daughter. He's bribed men before in the hope of grandchildren. Trace pushes Cindy to the limits of her endurance to make her give up and go home, while fighting his desire for her. Thanks to her father's meddling, Cindy has doubts about her attraction to men. Sparks and steam abound when these two get together, but will it last? This first hardbound edition of an early Lowell title will please romance fans, and showcase the seeds of her later, hugely popular romantic thrillers.

    I Also Recommend:

    Not a new book

Elizabeth Lowell fans will know that this is is a reissue of an older book, a Silhouette publication of 1988.That being said, it is a good book. It has interesting characters and setting and is a keeper in my library. I recommend her highly as an author. Her newer books have a strong romanctic interest but also educate about issues such as drug trafficking, art theft and so on. They are more plot-driven than romance-driven.

    A Beautiful Love Story!

In regard to reading about warm love story, there's no doubt that Ms. Lowell is one of the best authors who knows how to put together such a story. Very enjoyable read.

    A good book

This is a good book, easy to read, and easy to get into. I loved the characters and plot. It was good to see someone write about the strong side of a woman. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good read.

Very disappointed - not her usual

I found it immature and the main characters very mushy. I love most of her books, but this one bored me.

THIS IS NOT A NEW BOOK

This is a nice book and a fun romantic adventure story but it is not new. It has been published and out for a long time now
So if you read and enjoy Lowell you will be very disappointed if you purchase this based on a new cover but not a new book!!!!!
