I have read her other books and I thought this one wasn't up to par. Easy read, but not a lot to the story and got boring at times.

After reading Kristen Painter's "House of Comarre" series, this book was like dry toast. Her Comarre series has a vivid plot and characters. This book had somewhat interested male figures, but the women were all plain jane nothing special. And the plot was unbelievably, boringly, predictable. Man meets woman, after not having ever met a woman/kissed a woman/slept with a woman. He immediately falls in love with her and can't live without her. She struggles a bit with the whole love thing, cause she's been married and is now divorced, but she falls right in line with it a day later. Reading it was like listening to someone go "blah, blah, blah" in your ear. Gonna force myself to finish it though.

Charming and spirited despite bearing her own burdens, she intoxicates him with the pleasures of life, even taming his brutal dark side with her fearlessness.
