But why no eBook?
Is the nook just a 1995 Palmpilot for a giant? Useless if the books that you want are not available...this is already in paperback, and that makes the non-release of an ebook a travesty.

I loved this book just like the other ones in this storyline. I gave this a 3 in gift giving and topical conversation because as the fourth book in the series, you need to make sure that others read the first three first (even though this one probably could have been read on its own because it was so well written.)
If you have read the first three from this series, read this one and you will be just as eager to wait for another installment. If you have not read this series before, pick up the first book and you will be hooked into this series.

If you're reading book 4 of the Chronicles by now you know what to expect. That being said Dark Ladies Chosen doesn't disappoint. While switching seamlessly between characters. Don't put too much faith in a complete conclusion since she intends to keep going with the series however she wraps up the current plot in a way both unexpected and satisfying.

The fourth installment of this series was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I actually think next to book #1, this is my second favorite with the quick pace and excellent development of the new story line in this series, I can't wait for the next book to come out.
I just hope the author doesn't slow the pace in the upcoming books, I hate when an excellent series gets stuck in the mud and loses it's momentum.

The story completely captivated me from start to finish. I found myself not wanting to put the book down. As usual the writing was excellent, painting very clear pictures of what was going on as well as providing strong emotions that the reader can identify with. The story's global plot was deep and intertwined with several sub-plots that had absolutely no trouble at all coming together at a close for resolution. I would definitely recommend this book as well as the series to any fantasy reader.

Amazing and a very great read. Recomended to ages 10 and up. Some swearing and other language not suited for younger children.

I met the author at a Rennaissance Faire where she was selling her books. I'd never her of her, but I thoght I'd take a risk. I have read all four of the books in this series and have found them to be compelling reading. The characters are well thought out and developed. I haven enjoyed the twists and turns in the stories. It is lively, emotionally provocative and full of intrigue. It's a must read!

I had a difficult time getting into it with the first 2 books, but books 3 & 4 are awesome! I highly recommend them. There is so much overwhelming conflict going on that has built over the course of the series, and Gail Martin is able to guide the reader through the incredible, insane, tangled maze with professional ease. In my opinion, I'm doubtful that the Winter Kingdoms will ever see peace in Tris and Kiara's time of rule. This book is a superb background/start to her new series, The Fallen Kings Cycle. The Flow continues to be erratic, unreliable, and a threat. But, Carina now stuck between being dead and alive is determined to heal the Flow. By doing so, she is convinced that it could possibly heal her too. Carroway is forced to take refuge at the Dragon's Rage inn, because of Crevan's accusation that he and the Queen are guilty of high treason. The divisionists and the loyalist to the Usurper, continue to try to tear apart the joining of the kingdoms Margolan and Isencroft. Cam is a prisoner of the divisionists, but heroically his honor gives him the strength to go on despite his inevitable death. Curane's plan and with his secret man on the inside to murder the Queen and her unborn child, resulting in Jared's son inheriting the throne as king, is a threat that can not be ignored by Tris. Can Tris get his army there to close off Jared's son's escape to Trevath? With Kiara having similar difficulties with her pregnancy as her mother once did, Curane's man hidden inside Shekerishet, and Tris away at Lochlanimar taking defeating hit after hit from Curane's blood mages, she is left on her own to defend herself and the unborn Margolan heir. Inconceivably worse, is Malesh's plan to become the Lady's consort on Candles Night, making him a god. Jonmarc, Lord of Dark Haven is arrested and brought to the council for treason, despite his efforts to prevent the outright war against the mortals and the vayash moru. And because of what has been tragically done to Carina, Jonmarc makes an unbelievable, unbreakable bond with the Lady, which seems to be not as worse as what she demands of him for the future of the Winter Kingdoms.

Of the four books in the Chronicals series, I enjoyed this one the most. The characters have developed to the point of making the reader want to see more of them. I do hope Gail Martin will continue with this set of characters for at least another two books.

I like this series but i didnt start it till i was deployed an that was 2 months ago the bad part of it all is i just read off my nook soi would like to know is this one gonna be on the nook to or do i have to wait till i get back to the states

I have a Nook so naturally I read ebooks. It's too bad this doesn't come in that format. I wonder if Ms. Martin has anything to say about that? I find it very odd that there is a Kindle version of this book. Maybe I made a mistake...
