HELLHOUNDS ATE MY PANTS

Justin won Elyssa's heart and saved his dad from rogue vampires, but just when he thinks he can ride off into the sunset on a white horse, trouble not only knocks on his door, it plows through it with hellhounds.

Spawn relatives with their own agendas, vampires running amok, and his father marked for death, it seems there's no end to the kinds of monsters out to make Justin's life miserable. It's almost enough to make him long for the days of man boobs, Kings and Castles, and nerd status. With a list of impossible quests growing faster than he can keep up, tracking down the deadliest assassin in the world may prove easier than winning the approval of Elyssa's parents.

The clock ticking, and dark forces on his heels, Justin gets a crash course in the mysteries and dangers of the Overworld. But with Elyssa by his side and his growing menagerie of friends, impossible odds suddenly seem possible again.

Meet the Author

John Corwin has been making stuff up all his life. As a child he would tell his sisters he was an alien clone of himself and would eat tree bark to prove it.

In middle school, John started writing for realz. He wrote short stories about Fargo McGronsky, a young boy with anger management issues whose dog, Noodles, had been hit by a car. The violent stories were met with loud acclaim from classmates and a great gnashing of teeth by his English teacher.

Years later, after college and successful stints as a plastic food wrap repairman and a toe model for GQ, John once again decided to put his overactive imagination to paper for the world to share and became an author.

    Ready...Set...ACTION!!

Another excellent read from John Corwin!

I didn't think it was possible, but I liked this book an eensy bit more than the first Overworld book: Sweet Blood of Mine :) Lots of action and suspense, plus a further look at the Overworld that I absolutely enjoyed. Justin has grown more 'into' his new self, and he has decided to take his fate by the horns and deal. It's an amazing thing to see. This is a ride you won't wanna miss! Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down, it's definitely a page-turner. The humor that I've come to expect from this author was there in spades and had me LOL'ing numerous times. I am truly enjoying the world that John is building here, can't wait for the next book to see what Justin and Elyssa's next adventure will be!

The second installment in Corwin's Overworld Chronicles series is full
of action, adventure, romance (but not the mushy kind), and humor.
Picking up where book one left off, the action starts in the first
chapter and doesn't let up. We follow Justin and his friends (Elyssa) as
they strike out on new adventures. I love that story is written from a
male point of view. That's not something you see often enough, and it is
a nice change. The story itself is unique and fun. The world Corwin
created in this series is incomparable. Justin, our main character, is
so much fun. I absolutely love being in his head. I love that, although
we watch him grow and mature throughout the story, he always stays true
to who he is and what he believes. I am a huge fan of Corwin's
writing. His electrifying plot twists and fast pacing are sure to keep
the reader turning the pages. Warning: This series is addicting.

Readers are thrown further(and more violently)into the workings of the Overworld in this ACTION PACKED sequel to Sweet Blood of Mine.

Picking up where the first book left off, our nerd-turned-supernatural-super-stud Justin, must team up with a motley crew of other "supers" to tackle an ever growing list of impossible tasks.
Among them: Winning the approval of his Dhampyr girlfriend's Spawn-loathing father which ,it appears, will be more difficult than surviving Hell hound attacks and navigating the bizarre traditions and politics of his Spawn kin!

A fun, exciting, and fast-paced read! More great characters, more creepy creatures, and more of John Corwin's special wit and addictive brand of humor!!
