"Dark Without You"- beautiful title, beautiful book! Such a sensually written book that I wasn't even overly troubled by the "romance novel" terms for body parts and functions that normally drive me crazy so I can't even finish a book. I enjoyed the balance of narrative, back story, and explanation of domestic discipline, the last told by the female main character who started the novel only knowing a little about this world. I enjoyed how fully Sue Lyndon fleshed out the lead male and female characters. The last chapter was full of so many sweet and touching moments. It was wonderful to come to the end of the book wishing for more story; I can't wait to read other works by Sue.

This book was mostly narrative and had no character development. It was about 200 pages on my nook which is plenty to get a good story going but it jus didnt happen for this book. Ive read shorter stories with more emotion and connection between reader and character. I would NOT recomend this book.
