This book should nit be taken as a light read. Its long dark and twisted. No one under thirteen should read it.
A simple reenagee decides to go star gazin with her all time crush. Stupid girl. She is tortured. Sent to the under world with out her soul. Mabye. Strangely She meets a demon. Kane. With hooves blue hair talons and, she should hate him he apparently does. The queen took over the under world with shades.fate is a shade. Ad shades will die if they dont eat souls. She has to save the under world. Terrified of herself, feeling alone, fate faces an armyof shades and the devil. She is alone....almost, becuase theres kane who she is drawn to although to her own protest fir he just might be to.
A note from the writer:you now how this ends; can she save the under world, does kane trluy love her, can they ever be together, canshe fight the hunger to feed off souls, are there more questions i can ask. Just read the book. Its amazing.

This was the best book I have read in quite some time! I adore the great detail when describing the apperances of each of the characters. What a twist at the end! I couldnt keep my eyes off the screen, only took me two days to read it. Though I hardly ever pay money for books, I would to get the book following this! And, as a twelve year old, I do not reccomend this book to viewers under the age of 13. This is indeed a very twisted book, but I would read it again.

I absolutly LOVED this book, its full of magical creatures and a love that was never thought to be... Scarlet finds herself in a teen crush with a boy named Rory Dean and she goes on her first date ever and sharing her first kiss with this boy who wants to sacrafice her for his own immortality... Scarlet finds herself in a strange, but unique place, making strange friends and facing her new Fate

Okay, I absolutely loved the book. It's one of the most well written books that I've read in awhile. Scarlet/Fate is a well written character and I feel like I can really get into her head. The characters are amazingly relatable, the scenes are admirably detailed, and the plot is superbly written. It flows nicely from character to character and I couldn't put it down. Daneille Q. Lee, I have read your other books, but this, in my opinion, is the the best yet. I applaud you and am eager to read the sequel. This has officailly become my all-time favorate book

....I admit it I have a habit of judging book by their cover. While it's a nice piece of dark fantasy artwork, I had a hard time with this one. The story sounded promising and it was free so I gave it a shot. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It was not at all what I expected and for that I have to say good job. It was an interesting look at demons and other creatures of the underworld. There was something that bothered me about the heroine in the beginning, it's hard for me to explain exactly what it was. But her, shall we simply say transition certainly made her a more enjoyable character to follow.

If you enjoy dark natured stories then this is it. Clever and imagnative world underfoot with rich detailsthat will make uyour hair stand throughout. Greatly researched and mostly accurate on myths and legends. Doesn't leave you high and dry on the ending but you will be begging for more

I honestly liked the book. The plot was amazing and different. I just wish that the author said how scary it would be in the beginig. I am 12 about to turn 13 in a few days and I wish I could of kept reading it. In the begining this popular guy pretends to take interest in her but then ends up sacrificing her in the middle of a star while she was naked!!! It was just a little to twisted for me. I have not read the hole book yet and I archived it but I think I might continue reading it. I'm also a Christan and I am not sure if reading his is bad. I guess i will unarchive it and give it another try.

Wow! This was totally not what I was expecting; it was better!!! I cannot believe that it was free. I would have definitely paid to read this book.
Anywho, this story offers something that none others I have read so far have been able to. I can't even name what it is, but the storyline and the characters kept me engaged in the story and actively trying to figure out the ins and outs of the story and problems they encountered.
I would definitely recommend this book for anybody and everybody, it's amazing!!!

The stats are: 630-ish nook pages, no sex, no swearing (that I recall), YA paranormal romance mostly set in hell, dark themes, no vampires, and I can't complain much because it was free. Typical YA story: High school girl crushing on the bad boy, gains supernatural status and saves the day. Proofreading and editing is pretty top-notch compared to other free books I've read. Another commenter said not for young readers. I say if you let your kid read the Twilight series, this isn't any more violent and there's no sex, though there is an element of ritual satanism that kind of gave me the creeps.
