Who knew there were so many German Prisoners of War in the US during WWII? Who knew how extremely important they were in providing labor to the US while so many of our men were away fighting the war? Who knew some of the German POWs were allowed to stay and become US citizens?
Thoroughly enjoyed the historical information woven into this book.
At the same time...I found it very thought provoking. The main character, a former German POW, who is allowed to stay in the U.S., becomes a minister. As a Christian, I found the Christian references and ideas the author presented through the main character quite insightful. The author caused me do some soul searching!
If you are a Christian and/or you love American History..you will enjoy this book!
