The opposing viewpoint series is great because it lives up to it's name. The book gives strong examples of both sides of an issue, lets each give their beliefs and lets the readers decide for themselves. Date Rape and Acquaintance Rape are powerful political and social issues. One side believes Claims of Date Rape trivialize sexual violence, that Rape is Now to Broadly Defined, That the threat of Rape is exaggerated, that Feminist Research is exaggerated, and that Date Rape policies are Ineffective and Naive. The other believes Feminist Research doesn't exaggerate, that Date Rape Policies are necessary, that the consequences or Date Rape are underestimated, and that Date Rape is always a Form of Sexual Violence. Whether you read this to take a side, or to remain as neutral as the book itself, you'll gain new knowledge and insight from this book.
