Meet the Author

“Doing all the little tricky things it takes to grow up, step by step, into an anxious and unsettling world.” Sylvia Plath

Use our step by step process to learn and grow both professionally, and personally. And don’t worry you won’t end up putting your head in an oven like Sylvia Plath. The end result will be more akin to the brilliance of a quote like that, not the end result of its author’s life. Wizards Books self-help series is the thing you need to educate you on a variety of topics.

However Sylvia Plath was right in her assertion about the ways of the world, most things in life need to be done step-by-step. We have enhanced that age old rule, and with step-by-step wizard books we teach the masses to rein in their creativity in all types of fields, and take it a step at a time.

Have you often thought, your imagination is spent, you’re sick and tired of never achieving your real potential, you’re stuck in a rut, where do you go from here? The Step-by-step series can help you get out of all that, and achieve positive real world results in any field.

We distill information, so you get a concise picture of what needs to be done. Unlike any other self-help book out there, step-by-step guides you through whatever process you seek to learn, and instead of just giving you information, they help you grow as an individual.

Just think, you will no longer need to seek out advice on any subject ever again.
Step-by-steps how to guides will show you how it’s done, and then how to do it right. It’s the last self-help tool you will ever need, think of us as your own personal self-help guru, on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Yes, You Can Be Suave and Debonair

Dating these days has not simply become a challenge---it's a veritable minefield.

Of course, the experiences your parents may have gone through in the 1950s---complete with sock hops, chocolate malts, and sitting on the ol' front-porch swing with a glass of lemonade---are completely different now. But regardless of whether it's the 1950s, the 1970s, or even the 1990s, dating still involves sweaty palms, agonizing bouts of anxiety and self-consciousness, and a universal fear and dread of rejection.

But never fear---Stephen Williams is here!

Williams has written another tome entitled "Dating Tips: Be an Expert and Confident on the Opposite Sex." From the start, he acknowledges the fear and the sense of feeling overwhelmed with doubt about the wherewithal to find and attract a dating partner. (Note: Even though Williams writes "Dating Tips" from a heterosexual approach, there is nothing in the book to stop gays and lesbians from applying and tailoring its tips and techniques to their specific lifestyles. Wanting a life partner seems practically hardwired into our brains, so what difference does it make if someone is attracted to either the opposite or the same sex?)

One of the best pieces of advice the author provides his readers in "Dating Tips" is to accentuate what they presently have that's positive: smile, personality, humor, outlook, wardrobe, etc. Williams urges all potential suitors to take an active role in pursuing a relationship: "You should start dating TODAY and stop wasting time daydreaming about a perfect movie romance" (ch. 1). The author seems to be stressing the importance of experiencing potential new relationships in the here and now, rather than wasting precious time in a fantasy world where any chance of rejection and ridicule is nullified.

A point of order should be noted here---there are more than a few would-be Romeos out there who simply aren't emotionally ready to handle entering a relationship, for any number of reasons: depression; anger; past romantic interludes that went sour; finances; etc. A wise person (I forget who) was quoted as saying: "Know thyself." This is certainly invaluable advice for anyone wanting to pursue not only the love of their life, but any worthwhile goal they set. Recognizing one's limitations, while not a sexy endeavor, is probably more mature and prescient than is given credit. Being aware of what we can and can't realistically accomplish in our lives goes a long way towards achieving what we CAN do. As a result, it is very possible that we may be more satisfied and content with our reconstructed lives from applying this maxim; hence, the future love of our life can only complement our internal successes as a result.

Williams writes in a self-assured style; as with nearly all of his works, he strives to add balance and excitement to his readers' lives. He continuously encourages people to find ways for self-improvement, and he usually offers practical advice and suggestions for achieving realistic goals that can be tailored to fit his readers' needs.

"Dating Tips" is replete with sound suggestions for uplifting its readers' love lives, and offers a strong sense of self-satisfaction and encouragement to keep moving forward in the case that a relationship may not work out (which will most likely happen more than once as people strive to find a compatible partner who will complement them). Williams's strong

I’m beginning to call Williams my love, sex and marriage guru because his books are always such eye openers! He writes for people like me who are trying to put their lives back together again…and his advice works! Out of the lot of books that I have read, ‘Dating Tips’ had earned its placed on my bookshelf…permanently.

Dating is really hard, no matter what anyone says. There is so much to think about, so much to consider. And, if you are like me, then you have all those insecurities to deal with. After reading ‘Dating Tips’, I actually feel a little better in myself; I am a bit more confident. I think I can go out there and do my thing!
I first believed it was one of those books where you think you will be taught by the gurus but you instead end up left at square one but I was wrong. It was the second paragraph that got me, where Williams gave me the first rule when it came to dating.

It was straight to the point and I loved that about his writing style. And, after thinking about it, I have to say that he was right.
I think that this book would be good for anyone who is struggling to find that special someone, or anyone who may be having trouble keeping their relationship together. It’s packed with hints and tips that will make you re-evaluate your whole approach to dating. Plus, it’s good advice!

Definitely value for my money! I highly recommend it!

    Date Like a Pro

I bought Stephen Williams' “Dating Tips” with the intention of gifting it to my little brother. He's in his late teens and he's shy and awkward around the ladies, and I've loved Williams' other instructional books, so I thought this book would be perfect for my brother. I am ashamed to say that, almost a week later, I am still holding onto this book! I started reading through it, just to see what kind of stuff it had to offer that could help my baby brother, and I just could not put it down! Williams is funny and approachable and completely sympathetic to the plight of the single and seeking. He puts everything into perspective and gives you exactly what you need in order to step up and step into the world of dating. From the very first paragraph, Williams does a wonderful job of getting the reader to trust him. It is clear from the start that Williams has had firsthand experience with both the feeling of futility involved in trying to find “the One” and the feeling of absolute joy when you finally DO find “the One.” Williams' obvious real-life experience with his subject matter ingratiates him to the reader and gives him an instant air of credibility he might not otherwise have. After all, who wants to take dating advice from someone who's never actually gone through the lows and (especially) the highs of dating? Williams doesn't talk down to you like someone who's judging you for not being able to land a date, but neither does he coddle you by sugarcoating everything. Like Williams' other books, he tells it like it is: getting out there and pushing yourself to date when maybe you'd rather not is scary and hard, there's no doubt about that. But Williams' point is that, though it's hard and maybe sometimes uncomfortable to put yourself out there, finding the person who makes you truly happy is WORTH IT. The thing I love the most about Williams' advice on dating is his stance that there isn't some secret sequence of mystical, magical steps that will unlock a relationship with whomever you'd like to date. Williams writes that the key to a fulfilling love-life is confidence, which is genius in its simplicity. The constant fear and worrying about whether or not you're “doing everything right” or whether or not you're “hot enough” or “good enough” is pointless and the surest way to end up alone. Williams understands that first you have to be at peace with yourself and who you are in order to find the person you're meant to be with. Although this is a book about dating and finding “the One,” it is, at its core, a book about becoming the person who is ready for and worthy of BEING “the One” for someone else.

Well this book is okay. I mean it is one of those books that go through really quick if you know what I mean.

I have to say that I really did not learn too much in here that I have already known before. I think that it should have had some more originality to it, but in most cases it can help someone else that does not have this type of knowledge when it comes to dating. I am sure that it would help someone that may need it.

I found that the author is really good at writing these books and I like them, but this one is okay to me. I think that some may get a good read out of it when it all comes down to what you are want to learn about and what you need help with.  I would recommend this book to a lot of my friends for the simple fact that they always ask for dating tips and this book actually has that.

I think that if you are interested in some tips about dating and you want to get them from a good place then try this book. I am sure that you will like it and if you know a few things and want a refresher then I would recommend this book as well. A nice book for someone that wants something to read and also for others that want to learn more things about dating and what they need to do.

If you're looking to find 'the one' then you definitely want to

If you're looking to find 'the one' then you definitely want to make sure that you are getting out there and meeting new people. You want to make sure that you are really getting them interested in you as well. If you don't do a good job at playing the dating game however … then it can be tricky. And learning how to date well can be tricky too.
This book is about teaching you, whether you're a man or a woman, how to date. That means you'll learn a lot of great little tips that can make you more relaxed and more comfortable while you're looking for that special someone. It's important that your dates go well and there's times that you simply don't know what to do or say and that can make you seem like the wrong person even when you're not.
As always Williams has a style of writing that allows you to learn without feeling completely inadequate. He's able to help you learn without making it seem like he's smarter than you. It's nice to read books in this style especially when you're trying to learn something important like how to date well.
If you've been having trouble, getting a relationship to stick then you'll want to read this book. You'll be able to figure out what went wrong and maybe get it to go better the next time. This is key if you hope to ever find someone to settle down with because you want to be sure that you are going through the dating process in the best way possible.
I liked that this book was such a good one at helping to learn about dating. It made me feel great to know that I could be excellent at playing that all-important dating game just by trying out a few new tips and methods. It's not a difficult process and it can make a huge change in your life.
It seemed odd that this book mentioned about finding a 'perfect guy or sexy girlfriend'. The implication here seems to be that men are not interested in the 'perfect girl' but instead in finding a 'sexy girl'. I thought this was odd since a lot of men are looking for that perfect person as well.
This book did do great at teaching about how to get out there and date. You'll be able to learn some simple and easy to follow tips. For my friends that don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend yet, this book is a must read and I'd definitely tell them about it. There are some very simple things that most people don't do, or do wrong, that this book will be able to help you to fix.
