I'm a recent college graduate who loves traveling, eating, and eating while traveling. I majored in ancient and medieval history, which I found to be a constant source of literary inspiration as well as general fascination. I grew up loving to read and write, especially historical fiction and fantasy—anything that can open up amazing new worlds, a philosophy I try to bring to my own writing.

    Jury is still out

    I just finished this book, and I honestly cannot tell you if I liked it or not. I think it would have read better without the fantasy/Atlantis portions. The dialogue becomes really cheesy as time goes on...all the references to the gods, then suddenly a modern cuss word thrown in? Really? Odd, odd read....

    Not sure how Atlantis figured in to this book...

    The book was actually entertaining until Caly found herself in Atlantis. There was no point in her being there and the portions of the book dedicated to her stay in Atlantis were just odd filler. One could honestly read about the first 300 pages, skip the next 100, and pick up having no idea that Atlantis had ever been mentioned. I was hoping for a little bit o' fantasy, but was disappointed. At least the historical part was amusing.

    Unfinished

    There are too many plot twist left unexplained. It has the potential to be a briliant book, but it has and unfinished feel (even at 600+ pages).

    Worth a read!

    Although i comletely despised the ending, this is an extremely intricate book that will keep you interested throuhout it's intirety. Yes, the book does reference atlantis in a manner that i slightly odd, the book still pulls it off. This book truly is wprth a read, as well as any sequels that will come along after it. (And with the ending like it is, there will be a sequel.) Beautiful detailed and well thoughtout story that held minimal cliques. If you are looking for something different, and of good quality, read this book.

    Disappointing

    This was a long book but i felt like nothing really happened. The poor grammar didnt help the story either and the ending was ridiculously abrupt.

    Great fantasy

    If you enjoy mythological tales, this is a wonderful one. Easy read with lots of action, danger. The twists and turns of plot will keep you from putting this book down until you're finished!!! Zamin is a great author. Highly recommend this one.

    Being a Myth

    I just love the concept of a story from the perspective of the "unknowing demigod"- loved the characters, though agree the Atlantis bit could be a bit better intertwined into the rest of the story. I would love to read how it all turned out!

    Bad

    The book contained so many wonderful opportunities for a great story, but failed at every turn. Not a book I could recommend, definitely not my cup of tea.

    Not very good

    The concept of the book was actually a good one. The execution however leaves alot to be desired. I don't have a problem with the typos ( I've come to expect them in ebooks), so much as with the writing itself. It's trying too hard to be something it's not - an MZB type story. Fell short.

    Honestly.

    I am not even going to lie. I have hated this book from the begining and I still hate it now. It's is one of the most unemotiona, confusion inducing , boring to the core books I have ever read. I don't even know what's happening most of the time. This book is disappointing. For a book on mythology, I at least expected some excitment. This book just reall sucks.

    Just SO STRANGE!!! Too Abrupt an ending!!

    This starts out so intriguing and then quickly go under water! Weird! The ending is extrememly abrupt and leaves the reader wondering what happened!

    Good read

    This story is full of twists. Some you see coming and others not. Caly is a strong character. I would have more romance to have developed. It seemed just when the story was starting to peak, it ended. What happened to Claudius? Did they go to Rome? What became of Caly and Hadrian? I hope there will be more written to this story.

    Ediitor seriously needed

    This has the beginnings of a good story....i think...but on page 100 i must stop reading because the lack of proofing much less editing makes it much too tedious
