Mike Noble's College&Career group at Colleen and Faith's church years ago turned out to be very close both spiritually and personally and grew in numbers. That first night Mike left for emergency. With no pizza on hand the guys left to get some snacks and ended up witnessing to a friend. Gone for over an hour the young women had to fend for themselves. They began to pray. Before they parted company a spiritual attachment had formed though meeting together would be difficult because they lived at opposite ends of the city.
Faith mentioned that her mother and her church friend used to pray on the phone. Agreeing that telephone prayer would feel "strange" but fun, they looked forward to their first prayer session over the phone. That was over thirty years ago. Today, the two have many books of recorded prayers under their belt and many verses that were exchanged on each day of prayer.
Colleen and Faith went on to pray together weekly for the next 30 years and believed God had anointed them that day at the Nobles. For more than 20 years, Faith and Colleen have had a dream to write a book and, as the years went by they were sure that God wanted others to know about the special friendship God gave them and how He has answered their prayers and stuck with each of them through all the good times and the bad. Along their path they have met many people but God put upon their hearts some individuals with unique stories, not unlike yours. This book is dedicated to women they have known, in search of the truth God has for them --- on the way to their destiny.
Collen and Faith are both married with children. They attended bible school together, share a joint interest in church ministry and horticulture and have had diverse careers. Balancing work and family are part of their individual journeys and have influenced their prayer life and faith walk.
