At 550 pages, this book has so much more than you'll find in the user manual or any of the other D7000 books. The three (!) entire chapters, totaling 100 pages on selection menu options alone are worth the price of the book. Other guides tell you what the options do, this book tells you exactly why you want to choose each one, and how it will affect your photography. Highly recommended.

Easy to read and logically describes the various functions of the D7000. Really completes the descriptions and opens up the features of the camera. This book is a great choice for someone who wants to take the D7000 beyond Automatic or Program modes. Highly recommend.

I have not read the entire book but find it valuable so far. The illustrations and pictures are excellent and quite helpful. It is the narrative that I have a problem with. The writer is a bit full of himself and is far too wordy, especially in the beginning and tends to be repetitious. He often takes too long to get to the point and his personality distracts from the business of learning. Also I would have organized the book differently. I am learning a ton of detail but I want some immediate help on just taking photographs. Check back with me after I've read the whole book. Would I buy it again? Yes. So far.

I highly recommend this book for a comprehensive guide.

I have found this to be much more specific for features and for all features for the D7000 as opposed to seemingly generic explanations I found in other guides.
