The Sony manual on the dvd is the worst manual on anything I have ever read. You must obtain another manual for the NEX-7, and I like David Busch's manual (note, I purchased his manual on the Canon 7d several years ago when I bought my 7d; so I had experience with his writing.) The NEX-7 is a computer with a lens, and if you use anything other than 'P' mode, you need a manual and this is a good one. With a manual, this is an amazing camera. Yes the camera interface is poor (there are over 50 entries in one of the menus) but the three dial controls are great.
