    I Also Recommend:

    Best book since HP7

Ever since I finished reading the last HP book, I have been desperately searching for a new fantasy series. And guess what? I FOUND IT! I didn't care much for Barandela's first book, but it was interesting, so I gave this one a shot. And boy was there a difference. The characters are far more realistic and the plot is enticing. Unlike a lot of the other fantasy books I read since Deathly Hallows, Dawn of Darkness has good moral lessons in almost every chapter. You learn something meaningful all throughout the book, while being entertained by the story itself. I think this is a great read and I can't wait till the next one.

    I Also Recommend:

not the best ive read, but certainly a great read

i dont know where dawn_of_dorkness is coming from, but i think he/she has been reading a few too many children's books to appreciate anything other than peter cottontail. i will admit that there are similarities between this book and a few others ive read, but it certainly isn't "an unimaginative stroll though a compilation of other authors works" as dawn_of_dorkness would lead you to believe. i mean, seriously, what's yer deal? "a gag gift purchase", huh? well, i for one plan to order another copy of this book for my son. like him, i thoroughly enjoyed harry potter, and i know he will enjoy this book as well. the plot is exciting and enticing. the author really does a great job of drawing you into the story, especially for such a young man (if you had done any research dawn_of_dorkness, you would know HE is 16). minus the magical abilities, you could meet the characters he portrays in your own neighborhood--that's how believable they are! and another thing, dawn_of_dorkness, that was a nice little sexist comment to the author (who you thought was a GIRL). did anyone notice how he told the author to "go back to flipping burgers and washing dishes"? go dig yourself a hole you sexist bigot

    dawn of dorkness

this is an unimaginative stroll though a compilation of other authors works. there is no creativity and the "author" of this piece has no writing style whatsoever. Jeremy Barandela has no descriptive prowess and his characters and their journey are simply ridiculous. this book is a profound literary abortion and an insult to literate people world wide. this is one book you can judge by its cover and its cover appears to have been thrown together last minute by someone who obviously did not care. this book has no clear sense of direction, it is as if it was written out of boredom and had no real thought put into it at all. it is however so poorly conceived that it would make a great gag gift for any real fan of the literary arts.anyone with an education would quickly see through this 463 page punchline. i must however recommend against a gag gift purchase as i believe no one should encourage her to write another.go back to flipping burgers and washing dishes and leave the writing to the educated.
