There are certain LPs that were loved in ones youth, and you long to hear them again, and this album was one of them ... practically every song is a joy to hear and to sing along to... I love this album more than any greatest hits album of the Four Seasons... it is a feel-good album, and one of the only ones to have ''Church Bells May Ring'' on it ... great song,... and it also includes the classic, ''Dawn... Go Away''... my name is Dawn, so this song has been ''sung'' to me many times.

All Music Guide - William Ruhlmann
After launching their tenure on Philips Records with the folk collection Born to Wander, the Four Seasons returned only one month later with a pop album patterned after their earlier Vee Jay LPs, which is to say a set of doo wop covers filling out an album keyed to a current hit single. In this case, the hit was "Dawn Go Away," which would have been a number one hit if it hadn't been for the Beatles, who had a lock on the top of the charts. Elsewhere, one got to hear Frankie Valli's takes on such favorites as "You Send Me," "Sixteen Candles," "Breaking up Is Hard to Do," "Earth Angel," and "Do You Want to Dance."
