Day by Day Armageddon: Grey Fox [NOOK Book]

Overview

Time is a very fluid thing, no one really has a grasp on it other than maybe how to measure it. As the maestro of the Day by Day Armageddon Universe, I have the latitude of being in control of that time. I can adjust the slider either direction, moving the timeline back and forth along the continuum. This is one of the perks of creation, the benefit in constructing something (albeit small) from nothing. Sort of makes you wonder what the maestro of the universe is up to, no? You have again stumbled upon a ticket ...

    Short but enjoyable

I tweeted the author some time back asking about a 4th DBDA book; he tweeted back to say there were no plans for a 4th book. Now, a short story on the other hand...

This is a wonderful suppliment to the DBDA saga. Without the constraints and pressure of trying to write a novel - Bourne is active duty in our armed forces - he can simultaneously whet our appetite for more & be creative. I look forward to more such mini-adventures.

BOTTOM LINE: This is a worthy addition to the DBDA saga & a worthwhile read for fans.

    Wonderful Short Story

I love this author's books and when I heard a short story was coming out I had to get it. This story never disappointed. Loved every page, wish there was more.

    Well done.

I only wish it was longer. I like the return to the journal-style, written from the character's perspective. I'm looking forward to more in the future! In the meantime, thank you sir for your work and for your service to this country.

    J.L. Bourne never disappoints!

I've read hundreds of zombie apocalypse books and Mr. Bourne's were my first and STILL my favorites. You will always get my money my friend. A quick read with our old buddy Kilroy didn't disappoint. As usual it left me wanting more. Hopefully there will be more from the DBDA universe in the future. Thanks for the great read and thank you for your service!

    Cant believe this cost money

I loved all three of this authors books and was excited to get this. It isnt worth it, in fact its obviously just a cheap money grab. Im very disappointed. First off, the free sample is literally a third of the story. More than HALF of the ebook is advertising.

And the worst part? The story just plain pathetic. Dont buy this, and frankly the author owes anyone who did pay for this an apology.

First thing is first, Bourne apologizes to us in the very beginn

First thing is first, Bourne apologizes to us in the very beginning for time being a fluid thing that authors can manipulate forwards and backwards as they see fit. I personally see nothing wrong with this at all. I was Day by Day Armageddon: Grey Fox would have been longer, so many interesting ideas were introduced to the Day by Day universe that really only makes me more excited for the next book. This story happens 25 years or so latter than the rest of the series and has an aging Kill. He has spent his retirement from the military running jobs for hire into the dead zones. My mouth is now drooling more for the expansion of the series and cannot wait much longer.

    Do not buy!

Love the writer, have all his books and have thoroughly enjoyed them, but this was 46 pages and almost half of that was ads for other books. Get the sample and you'll probably be able to read the whole thing.

Love the series! Good story but not worth $3. This appears to be a stop-gap for J.L. to pay bills until the next real book is finished. I would have rated it better had this been a "free teaser" or $.99.
