WarCraft
A terrifying upheaval among the highest ranks of the world's Wizards sends the maverick Mage, Rhonin, on a perilous journey into the Orc-controlled lands of Khaz Modan. What Rhonin uncovers is a vast, far-reaching conspiracy, darker than anything he ever imagined -- a threat that will force him into a dangerous alliance with ancient creatures of air and Þre if the world of Azeroth is to see another dawn.

The author of this book is Richard Knaak. The book that he wrote is called War Craft #1: Day of the Dragon. The genre of this book is science fiction or fantasy because this book has orc, humans, dark magic, light magic, and elf¿s. This book has many main characters like Rhonin the mage, Falstad the Aerie Dwarf, Vereesa the Ranger, dragons, and many more. The one that I am going to talk about is the main character Rhonin. Rhonin is a human. He is a powerful mage of the Kirin Tor. His first order was to break the power of the ocrs at the end of the second war, after that he was to free the dragon queen know as Alexstrasza. She was in prison by the orc warlock Nekros Skullcrusher. Any dragon can break any prison wall but he used the Demon Soul to keep her prison. The High Elven Ranger Vereesa assigned Rhonin on this mission. Veressa is the warrior Dwarf Falstad. Also by the dragon mage Krasus, who thought about this mission. Before all of this happens there was an evil dragon Deathwing, he wanted to steal some of Alexstrasza¿s eggs so he can create his own dragon army. The major conflict is that Rhonin have to save the dragon queen but first he have to get pass the ultra power of the orcs. The setting of this story is at the forest there are a lot of battles in the forest, humans and orcs. The plot starts in the lands of Dalaran, Rhonin is sent on a quest. His guider is Vereesa and early on their journey they meet Falstad. At the end of the story some people died in a war. The point of view is 3rd person because the narrator is not a person in this story he knows everything that is going on. If this book was a 1st person then this book would be a lot different because it would focus on one character and you wont know what other people are thinking or doing. The things that the author didn¿t do well is to describe the orcs, I didn¿t get a lot of information of them because he was always at the kingdom with Rhonin and the rest of the Heroes. This book is great. I will give these books two tombs up because I like fantasies books and this is one of the great is one that I have read. There are more books of War Craft so if you read this book and like it then you should read the rest of the War Craft books. There were some other parts that I didn¿t like about this book like in the beginning, it was confusion but when you get in the middle then you will get it and never stop reading this book.

An excellent read for Warcraft fans. A bit confusing at first, but once it gets going, it is hard to put down. The plot was...different than other books of this genre and the unraveling of it was so exciting, it left me breathless. I had read the novel written by Richard A. Knaak called the Legacy of Blood, but it was nothing compared to this book. Day of the Dragon was an exceptionally good book, in my opinion.

I am a big player of the World of Warcraft. I never looked into the lore until this book and it ignites my want to play more and also read more books. For those looking for a good fantasy read, you do not have to know anything about the games to enjoy this good read.

I was already a fan of the WarCraft genre before starting to read this book. I was a little unsure how well this book would follow the story line of the game as it is now ( I.E. World of WarCraft). So far I've found it well written, exciting, and worth my time to read more of the series if the next book is like this. It adds richness to the story line. Many events, items of legend, and characters I'vd herd about or encountered in quests in World of Warcraft or WarCraft relate to something in these books or I've herd about. I think if the rest of these books continue to add demension like this and hold my attention as well as this one. I'll have read them all by the end of my deployment.

This was the first Richard A. Knaak book I read from him and I thought it was very average. After I read this book I read most of his DragonLance novels. This book was not his best. Some parts were confusing and the characters really weren't described well. Some parts were good but just okay. I'm not really into the whole Warcraft novels and I don't wish to read them. The game was great but the book was not.

This book , was handsdown EXTRAORDINARY , I don't know why I didn't read this book when it first came out, I have Warcraft III The Frozen Throne and play it all the time , but Im going to play World Of Warcraft soon , if you play the games the book is easier to understand , but not necessarily. I recommend this book to all readers who love Warcraft and enjoy good sagas!!

Day of the Dragon has got to be one of the best books I've ever read, beautifully written, very discriptive, and pretty easy to read. I'm a great fan of the RTS series, so I just couldn't put this book down! A must have for any Warcraft fan!

People will love this book. Absolutely exellent story. Very loyal to the game. I loved the Characters. Even people who didn't play the game would like this. I reccomend this over the Starcraft book which seemed a little hollow. Buy 'Warcraft, Day OF The Dragon' as soon as you can! I can't wait for the next one.

Overview
In the mist-shrouded haze of the past, the world of Azeroth teemed with wondrous creatures of every kind. Mysterious Elves and hardy Dwarves walked among tribes of man in relative peace and harmony -- until the arrival of the demonic army known as Burning Legion shattered the world's tranquility forever. Now Orcs, Dragons, Goblins, and Trolls all vie for supremacy over the scattered, warring kingdoms -- part of a grand, malevolent scheme that will determine the fate of the world of
